Bowlings Riding

I used to ride here weekly, and it's a great place to build your confidence with horses and learn how to tack them up, although I do feel as though you'll want to move on sooner or later.

It seems very much for beginners, and there's not all that much to do for experiences riders.

I’ve been riding at Bowlings for roughly 10 years on and off and always experience fantastic teaching, brilliant all-weather schooling areas and lovely hacks perfect for every level of ability. They have horses and ponies suitable for every rider and are also an RDA centre. It can get very busy during school holidays and weekends so it’s advisable to book but it’s worth it to get the best possible start as a rider.

This is the 3rd year our daughter has done an own a pony day at bowling’s riding centre (she’s now 6) and every time she’s Come back smiling. Mrs G who runs the yard is incredibly welcoming and instantly puts the children at ease. It’s a compact yard but is well equipped with a big all weather indoor school. On the day summer road 4 times (twice in the school and 2 hacks) plus got to do some pony grooming. It’s great value at £50 for the day (10am-3.30pm) and i’d Really recommend it to locals and holiday makers staying in the area. My wife also had a private lesson on a huge ex race hours called Dino and she came away with a big grin on her face👍 Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Pembrokeshire

Went out on a hack with my 11 year old daughter whilst staying in Newgale for the week. Couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Lovely family business, with lovely people. Very safety conscious.

Absolutely amazing riding school, used to go here alot in my teenage years and growing up. I highly highly recommend the bowlings for everything to do with learning to ride. Etc etc everything to do with horses intact...HORSE FANATIC AND ANIMAL LOVER...🥰❤🥰

Highly recommended, family-friendly riding school. Very friendly and experienced staff - nothing was too much trouble. Took great care to put novice riders at ease. Wonderful riding experience - the whole family loved it.
