Much work has been done on the hospital and the grounds around the hospital over the past year or so. The Works are trying to improve the hospital which they have done very well. The hospital offers good parking in multiple places both on the premises and on the main roads adjacent to the hospital.
In my opinion this to hospital is one of the better hospitals but I'm sure there are others who would have their own opinions on this. It is one of the main hospitals in Hertfordshire so it covers many aspects including A&E for eyes as well as an emergency dental apartment.

I have visited many hospitals in the UK and in other countries. Lister Hospital is one of the best I have come across. The staff were very welcoming, professional and practical. This is highly encouraging and appreciated.

I just wanted to say the staff at the hospital we’re outstanding. They were all very helpful and resurring. The doctors and nursers came up out of there own way to check on me and make sure I was doing all okay. I also would like to say. A huge thanks to Claudia. She was lovely.

Thankyou to all of you.
I was seen quick and had a lot of information brought back to me. I felt it safe hands.

Following a medical emergency on early morning of Saturday 8th, my experience both with the care given by the ambulance Paramedics at home and then at Lister A&E was excellent.

The two A&E doctors diagnosed the problem following X-ray and blood tests, I was then discharged with antibiotics.

OK there were waits in the ambulance and for blood test results, but with the background of NHS funding & staffing problems, my my experience of the care given generally was excellent.

Came through A&E expecting long hours of waiting but after triage, they moved me down to the SDEC. From the receptionists to the nurses and doctors, they were all amazing. So caring and professional. Kept me informed along the way and only had to wait about 3 hours from moving to SDEC to being discharged.

SDEC has a chair system which is great if you want to get something to eat or just need some fresh air. The room is very quiet and comfortable.

From someone with health anxiety, I can tell you this was the most pleasant experience I’ve had at a hospital.

My daughter is autistic and needed and urgent blood test. I called the hospital up to inform them of her condition and they were very accommodating. We arrived for the blood test and the staff were absolutely amazing. My daughter was terrified but the staff handled her so brilliantly and I could not be any more impressed. I am truly grateful to the wonderful people who work within the hospital that assisted us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving my daughter such wonderful care.

After experiencing a persistent nosebleed, which I could not stop, I landed at the Lister A&E and ended up being admitted to stay overnight as my blood pressure was alarmingly high. My first time of an overnight stay in hospital at 71 years old. I was very impressed with the quality of all the staff, working unhurriedly and efficiently, and keeping me informed at all times as to what was going on. There were significant delays getting me a bed and waiting for medication on discharge, but I left with a real sense that I had been in very good hands, and I am very grateful to all the staff for their dedication and professionalism.

Unexpectedly I was sent by my doctor to have a number of tests done at the Lister, yesterday, Dec 23rd. I dreaded going to Accident and Emergency at such a busy time of the year.
I want to say though how efficient and polite everyone was at all times: the receptionists, the porters, the nurses and practitioners and the doctor. It was busy and I spent most of the four hours in the Acute Medical Unit where there was a sense of purpose and calm. I would like to thank everyone concerned for your professionalism and service. We are so lucky to have the NHS.
