Although it is a state of the art facility I got the sense the staff clearly prioritised it being a research facility over considering the patient experience. Felt like I was treated like a participant in a research study. On my second scan I walked into the examination room with 4 people standing around waiting to observe with no effort made to ask me whether I was happy for this to happen. I told them it's too many people and they let some leave because others would join part way through?!? If there isn't a clinical need (which there wasn't) then there is no need for so many people be present. The person doing my ultrasound was swapped halfway through the scan and there were constantly people in and out of the room, pulling clinicians out and later returning. What if I had difficult news and this is the environment that's been created?! Also they feedback in the corridor (probably due to pressure on rooms and trying to meet the demands of seeing so many people), but that doesn't create a space to explore any potential concerns openly.

Also not having printing facilities is disappointing. Taking the pic on your phone is not the same.

My wife and me had an appointment today
I am very impressed by the professionalism and mannerism of everyone we came across today at this great institute
The doctor was amazing she explained everything in detail to us
The nurse and physiologist and the sonographer were brilliant

Awful experience. I've been waiting to be seen for 1hr and 40minutes now, only to be told they've all gone to a meeting. Its ridiculous that they book in so many appointments that they cannot keep up with. All they focus on is their research. They don't care about the actual appointment and that's obvious through their actions. To have an appointment delayed by this long is awful especially when you're pregnant. Disgusted and will be changing my care to another care provider.

Felt like being a burden there. Annoyed reception staff, the nurse seemed like she was reading a protocol to me instead of talking to a human and the first scan was awful, random people kept opening doors, coming in and out and in the end a male doctor completely uninvolved, just came in to sit and watch without even asking if I am comfortable with it.

They used lots on pressure on my belly and very hard shaking my abdominal to move the baby, I couldn’t sleep all through the night because of the pain. When the baby didn’t move in right position, the doctor lost her patience and put more pressure on me. When I said to her you hurt me she didn’t even apologise.
They whispering with each other and they laugh in front of the patient. Their behavior is not acceptable for them as doctors.

At my scan appointment of about 23wks I was told that my baby had down syndrome and that I had an option of aborting him up to when he is born. All this information was delivered to me in the corridor and she just walked off. Mind you the scan took forever as they kept walking in and out, swapping in the middle of scan. They kept whispering to themselves. I will never forget that experience. Having had an Autistic child I was not prepared to add on a down syndrome child. But luckily I had done so many scans privately before I got to this one and I was assured that my boy was fine. He was born afew months later and he's the most perfect boy I have ever met with no down syndrome. I remember telling them that we African people don't usually have a nose bone and that he shouldn't be judged based on that but they never listened.

I’ve attended for my first pregnancy scan and everything went very smoothly.
Catalina and Agustina were lovely and made me feel well looked after.
The building is extremely clean and beautiful.
