Avoid this GP at all costs. Dr Akhil Mayor is one of the rudest and arrogant clinician in the surgery. Apathetic, rude and very dismissive. Does not listen to your health concerns, and unwilling to help. He takes everything personal as he believes he knows best and unwilling to see anything from patients perspective and interests. Not sure how he made partner at the surgery.

Equally, the receptionists are poor at their jobs with poor telephone manner, appointments, and answering phone calls. Surgery used to provide good service, but has massively declined in recent years. Staff need to either be trained better in reception area, or replaced with better staff.
And the doctor needs to learn how to speak to patients and be more supportive, or maybe working in healthcare is not for him. I know I am not the only one feeling this way about the clinicians and the surgery as other reviews have confirmed my exact experience so it is recurring thing from the same individuals. The quality of care is poor and if this carries on, they may need to be investigated.

I don't know if it's because they have recruited new staff in the reception team but most of the people I have spoken to so far have no patiences, are rude, and lack empathy to be working in NHS. Few year back they had lovely helpful team but now it's just so horrible that I dont want to call them even when I feel sick. I think it's time for me to look for a new GP or write a formal complaint.

Service provided by Bath Road surgery is very good. Very polite, efficient, kind staff. Honey has been exceptionally good as the way she understand and reply to everyone s query is superb. I have noticed while waiting in the waiting area how she deals with patients from all walks of life. Even with my family members when we have a slight hiccup, how efficiently and great understanding it was dealt with.

The most horrible surgery ever. The worst are the receptionists who give misleading information, promise phone calls back which never happen and get extremely rude over the phone. Their system, staff and general practises all fail patients. They need to be investigated by NHS ombudsman for their incompetency. I shall be raising a complaint with Ombudsman once they fail to address my direct complaint with the surgery.

I phoned in to the surgery at 16.50 to speak to the receptionist. The automised telephone call said that I was 7th in the queue and the phone would be answered in 4 minutes. After 20 mins I was moved 2nd 🥈 in-line and would be answered in 21 mins. I told my wife to ring in to see what would happen. She was 7th in line and would be answered in 4 mins. Bearing in mind I was the next person to be answered, she was moving up the queue and in 20 minutes she was 2nd in line. All this time I was still waiting. I was first in line. ONE HOUR LATER I was still hold.
I decided to visit the surgery to see the receptionist sitting there whilst I was on hold for over 90 mins. The receptionist didn’t care.
This surgery does not care and the telephone system is just a lie to keep you on hold.

The problem with this GP is all about rudness. From the reception to the doctors. I rang to discuss about one of my repeat prescriptions I've decided to discontinue and was treated like rubish by one of the doctors as if I had comitted a crime. Questions are asked in a very rude way. I've also shared other concerns about my health condition and was told to "keep trying hard". In another words I was left completely on my own. Absolutely disgusting.

Iam very disappointed infact anybody could get angry . I saw reviews before thought its ok but not .staff need to be trained i dont know why the receptionist and telephone department people are very annoyed and argued have to listen first what exactly patient needs .Hope god put some sense to them i dont know why telephonic department taking so much responsibility and giving free advices to patients who are in need they are very rude and demanding.
Definitely not the recommended gp at all. i called the gp and talking to them for booking another appointment instead of booking another appointment or explain what i have to do next .
she’s giving free advices to me and arguing with me for past cancellation appointments and advicing me not to take appointment. Seriously, hope staff needs training and some manners.

Horrible service try to contact them from last 3 days, no answer. My blood test was done 10 days before still waiting for the results. Nothing uploaded in my online account also. The whole team should be replaced immediately and should handed over to deserving one.
