Peter dealt with my father's eye surgery after care. Very well presented and caring. Thank you so much. Appreciate it.

I was referred urgently to Moorfields by an optometrist to see an ophthalmologist . After much chasing up I was given an appointment at Moorfields 8 weeks later, only to see a technician who did the same tests as the optometrist. I was told they will contact me later for an appointment. I am still waiting to see an ophthalmologist - 10 weeks after my “urgent” referral. This is an example of a broken NHS

I went for cataract consultation at 9 am and the process finished at 1pm. My folder was handed in reception. Its already 3pm and no one is attending to me.I found out that the lady responsible for booking appointments just already left before 3pm without any regard to me still waiting to be informed. Disgusting woman. It was so depressing experience.

Avoid this place if yourself or a loved one is getting Cataract Surgery. The nurses and Healthcare assistants are rude and unhelpful.

The nurses were arguing amongst themselves, arguing with the health Care assistant and also with the pharmacy staff. It made me have very little confidence in the staff there. I was there for 3.5 hours and honestly it felt like you were at a marketplace. The way they speak to patients is harsh and uncalled for. You can tell the patients feel intimidated and scared.

I will be making a PALS complaint because God forbid I have nobody to advocate for me I would hate to go through what my loved one went through today.

When I asked the nurse what the name of her manager was she refused to give it to me. I then saw this on the wall. Please if any of you have gone through bad experiences here write to the relevant persons and make them aware of this.

Coming to St Anne’s was a breath of fresh air after having highly questionable private cataract surgery elsewhere and experiencing cover-ups and collusion amongst some private optometrists who didn’t declare their subsequently obvious conflicts of interest.

A delightful nurse looked after me with such kindness (despite my being 30 minutes late after going to the wrong hospital). The ophthalmologist I saw was similarly highly personable and was happy to answer my questions. This was a busy department but I had better care at this appointment than I have experienced over 18 months in some clinics in the private sector.

Thank you for restoring my faith and confidence in medical care.

I have always found all the staff very helpful , yes , sometimes the one has to wait a long time once you are there for your appointment. This is National Health , so please people don’t complain . They do their very best for us . An amazing place . Thank you

I have recently had cataracts surgery at St Ann's Moorfields.
I am absolutely delighted with the results.
The team caring for me were fantastic.
The waiting list wasn't as bad as I expected considering they had only just reopened post covid.
I have had my first eye done and am eagerly awaiting my second, but even having one done has given me a new lease of life.
Thanks to everyone who cared for me, I really appreciate it x

Very disappointed with their service. To began with with, I was not given an eye check until more than six months after I had PDT treatment despite recommendation from the consultant in the previous hospital that I should have been seen within two months time. To my disbelief, even after all that six months waiting time, I was told by the doctor at Moorfields Eye Hospital at St. Ann`s, that they did not have my records from the hospital where I was treated first time, even though they had six months to request the records. The doctor didn`t even look at my eye at all. What a waste of time. Completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. They missed every opportunity to see if there were any improvements or further deterioration in my eye. I was given an appointment after seven weeks where my eye was examined and I was told there was nothing they could do about my I eye and that they will discharge me. I have requested to be seen by another consultant in the hospital for a second opinion but nearly two weeks have past and nothing has happened.
