Gravesend - Pelham Medical Centre

I moved from Whitehorse surgery where trying to get through for an appointment was impossible. People need to blame the governments underfunding of the NHS not GPS. Since joining I have had a good experience and got appointments quickly. Use the online service and they will contact you within a day to offer an appointment

I'm with this surgery 4 year now (up to today). For this time I manage to book appointment once and I spent a lot of days on the phone trying to reach them. I cant understand how I can be first on queue, waiting 45 minutes and no one pick up the phone. Sorry, but I doubt that they speak with client for 45 minutes...And no - we don't need to blame the governments underfunding. A lot of Gp surgery in other areas are great and you can reach them by phone or online. Really disappointed, hope to have more luck with new one.

Was waiting on the phone for over 1hour 20 minutes to speak to someone. Ended up driving there with a sick child and me not being well either. Was speaking to one of reception staff while still being on hold. No one was answering the calls. Was told to go to hospital and wait there because they have no appointments. I suggested I send an email with pictures to the GP as I had an idea of what was wrong and just needed antibiotics but she said there is no appointment even for an email to be seen. So waiting in minor injuries for however long it takes while I'm with 2 minors one of which is not well while I'm seen too. We need to get more GP's and medical center's built rather then houses built in the area. This infrastructure is being allowed to collapse around us and we the public are suffering because of it.

Don’t recommend it at all! As I asked for a letter 6 months ago and paid £20 (I’m a full time student and care leaver)! I never received the letter now that I’m asking for a refund they say it’s not our policy to refund! They say either come and collect your letter now or you’re not gonna refund you!

One of the doctors i had an appointment with, just didnt seem interested, didnt really listen to what i was saying, he was just tapping away on his keyboard. The last time i went there, it took me two weeks to get an appointment. When i turned up, i was expecting the place to be packed. Nope, just me and one other person in the waiting room. I dont understand it, i have trouble getting a slot, yet when i do, im pretty much the only one there. I wish i had never transferred over, and stayed with my other doctors.

The receptionist at this place unprofessional rude! I run out of my inhaler nearly died in front of the door she refused to talk and help. Would recommend to put that receptionist on performance review! Otherwise would not recommend. Will report it once I found out her name. 13/10/2022

Absolutely awful place, never ever get an appointment. I have to wait 5 weeks, i can never get through to make appointment on the day, always fully booked. bewithem all my life

To be honest, from all surgeries I have been registered with, Pelham Surgery was the best for us. They would answer the phone, make same day appointments, order tests, prescribe proper treatment. Really sad when I had to move away.
