I'm a carer for my mother and also my best friend sometimes....I take them both to Podiatry appointments there and have done for some time now.
They r generally very prompt on time for calling u into the appointments...it's very rare that they are behind schedule for it. But that also comes with its downfalls as once we turned up about 5 mins late and they cudnt c us...I had to rebook my mum another appointment.
It looks a clean and tidy hospital, staff r friendly. It has a self check-in machine wen u go in. Waiting areas r comfortable and has a little cafe where u can buy tea/coffee and other bits n bobs, even books etc...I think its for charity.
I've only ever had 1 person stay at that hospital before and that was my late Nan. And she never complained about anything there, not did we have any issues there.

Dad was a patient on Alton Ward. The care he received during the final weeks of his life was excellent. When he died the staff were really good and gave me a lot of information on what would happen.

My mother recently spent time on Alton Ward. I was so impressed with every aspect of my mother’s care whilst at Clay Cross. The ward is spotlessly clean, well managed and wonderfully calm. The staff caring for my mother were extremely kind and gentle and whilst strict covid rules were professionally adhered to, I was always made to feel welcome, even into the evening. On Christmas Day, my mother was given gifts by the staff and I can genuinely say she was happy to be there. Sadly, my mother was too frail to take advantage of the rehabilitation and physiotherapy services offered but I cannot fault their efforts. Thankyou.

The caf is AMAZING the food is better here than it is in most cafes. The smoked haddock fishcakes are to die for.

Even made me a sandwich once when I got there too late :)

I have had great difficulty changing a telephone call appointment at the physio dept.I-have been waiting over two weeks for the call and now wish to change it.When I at last got to the right place after a referral from my GP.it was to be told they only work until 3.30 pm.So now have to wait until Monday, it's now Friday,.to change the app. That is If I-can get to them at all.
