This place has very few nurses that care, try and keep any of your loved ones out of there. My father spent four weeks in this place he became dehydrated and was not looked after at all. He has Parkinson's and dementia, some times need help feeding and drinking. There are a few nurses on Oakham ward that took the time to help him. And as for the doctor don't get me started. we had an argument only to be told that I knew nothing about Parkinson's and that my father had come here to DIE. And that the NHS website was no good for finding out about dehydration dementia and Parkinson's. I hope I never step foot in that place ever again.

Went yesterday and saw Rose, she was very helpful and good with my physio. The plan she gave me as helped manage my leg pain a lot.. only thing I would say against hospital is,I had to wait a long time for my appointment but I was satisfied with what Rose helped me with

Took my 90 year old mum for her covid jab last Monday Didn’t realise that the car park was not in use for the vaccination clinic Mum needs a wheelchair.
The guy monitoring the car park said I could park, but I couldn’t get my car in the available spaces and get mum out.
He went over and beyond to help me out…. Let me get mum in her wheelchair and took her a inside whilst I waited for a space.
You are a credit to the NHS. You will know who you are if you read this. I was getting in a right flap, so once again a big THANK YOU xxx

My 82 year old Grandma was placed here to recover from an operation for a new hip following a fall in her garden. She has had several falls over the past 12 months and is very unsteady on her feet. She also has regular infections which have led to sepsis 8 times. Whilst at this hospital she has been very unwell, has not received physio as promised and is now being released home. My mum has been on the phone daily to try and ensure she is placed in a care home for a small amount of time to allow her to recover and hopefully regain some of her mobility to allow her to go back home. She has been lied to that she had a place at a local care home, only for that to be cancelled and told they're sending her home with 2 carers a day. That is 23 hours a day she will be left alone, with the nearest family member a 40 minute drive away. She is unable to dress herself, cook for herself, take herself to the bathroom or complete any normal day to day tasks. The duty of care provided has been horrific, this is an accident waiting to happen. She has worked her entire life, paid into the system and all the hospital are interested in is getting rid of her to free space for another patient to come in. The lack of understanding and remorse has been horrific, and when an accident does happen and she is seriously injured or worse no one will be there to take liability. It may be nothing to the healthcare workers but she is everything to us - the NHS need to sort their priorities out and improve care for those who have contributed for their entire existence. Disgusting.

Recently went to the dentist here and I could not recommend them enough!! They extracted 2 of my 3 year olds front teeth and wow from the moment we went in to the moment we left, they made us both feel so comfortable! Literally so comfortable when I fainted 🙈 My little boy felt super relaxed and comfortable he was able to have the extractions happen and still not want to leave because he liked it there so much! Thank you to everyone, especially Neil and Roxanne who made my little boy so proud to have been to the dentist that he has told EVERYONE about it.

Went today for a foot xray and arrived knowing I also needed an ultrasound but because of the different 'systems' I could book one over the phone and the ultrasound via my GP referring me. The xray appointment was organised with 2 weeks and I still hadn't heard about the ultrasound! But when I arrived the radiologist saw the request from podiatry and arranged for me to have the ultrasound before my xray - how amazing 2 birds one stone which rarely happens within the NHS. Great service and huge thanks that I didn't have to attend the same department again and that all results will be with the GP and podiatry at the same time. Thank you.
