This is an excellent surgery, the staff are very professional, caring and friendly. I have never had any problems getting an appointment and never had to sit and wait for more than 10 minutes or so. The best doctor's surgery I have ever had. Thank you

Only been with them a year and no complaints yet, only seen one doctor, I have seen more nurses as per my medical needs, and they have been wonderful and very helpful, thank you ladies.

Without doubt the worst possible staff, the worst waiting times, the worst attitudes towards the general public and the most indifferent G.P.'s I've had to deal with since taking up residence in Huthwaite. You feel guilty for making an appointment anytime soon and have to consult your diary to book one if you're not at deaths door. The staff are there to keep you away from the doctors and heaven forbid the wait in the reception room, should you achieve the 'Holy Grail' of an appointment. I was told on my visit today that 7 G.P.'s were in attendance and yet I sat in pain for 30 (and one complaint to staff) minutes. I briefed the G.P. fully and concisely and yet e still managed to prescribe me the wrong medicine. Which wasn't available at next doors Chemist or indeed 2 others in Sutton in Ashfield. So here I sit in pain, resigned to yet more incompetence, accepting I have to sit and suffer. Not to worry tough, I have another appointment on the 6th May, let's see what else they do and how badly they mistreat their patients. Disgruntled Moi?

I have never had a bad experience at this GP. They are a lovely team of people. Just this week I needed an emergency tetanus jab, the receptionist was kind and efficient and the nurse was lovely. No complaints here! So glad we moved to this area.

I have always thought highly of the service provided here and i know this covid pandemic has impacted everything, but to be left in pain with no indication of when i will be treated is just not good enough. I have a very stiff and painful frozen shoulder of which i first tried to treat myself as i have had this before on my other shoulder until i could no longer cope with the pain or restrictivity it causes. The doctor initially listened to my issue and gratefully i was sent for an xray and booked in for physio. At my physio appointment i was told that i needed a steroid injection instead of physio and was informed i would be put on the list. There was only 16 people in front of me on that list on 29th june and the physio consultant said it should not be long before i receive my appointment. It is now 21st of july and still no appointment and the shoulder is getting worse, as i am right handed and it is my right shoulder that is the issue i am finding even the easiest of tasks very hard and painful. I phoned the reception today to ask where i am on the list and was informed that i am still number 13 and they are working through the list and that appointments for the treatment are sent out via text four weeks in advance. I was not happy that since 29th june to 21st of july they had only treated 3 others and by that estimation it would be quite a long wait with more weeks or maybe months of pain and immobility ahead of me. I asked the receptionist how am i expected to put up with this pain and her reply shocked me. She replied that an option of going private was available to me. Going private and paying £150+ is not an option to me as i cannot afford that but more importantly why go private when i am entitled th NHS treatment. I was angry with her response and asked would they leave the Queen to suffer. All i want is to be pain free and get movement of that joint freely again.
I don't know how long i will have to wait, but waiting months while the pain and restrictivity gets worse is just not good enough

UPDATE:

I have updated my review to let others know that although i had an issue with this medical centre they immediately contacted me to help resolve my issue. The practice manager was very understanding and dealt with my issue in a very professional manner.

I have today received my steroid injection and all enquiries regarding my injection and other health issues i was concerned about was answered gratefully and all staff were very helpful. I want to thank all involved for providing a service that i can count on.

One bad experience does not mean, i will always receive a bad experience and this past week has proved how they are prepared to help in any way they can.

Joke. The receptionist is dismissive and unhelpful. Complaints have been made in the past, about one particular receptionist, but nothing gets done.
Trying to get an appointment is a nightmare and why the receptionist needs to know personal information is beyond me.

Absolutely useless! Since when did reception staff become Doctors? They ask too many questions even though they know absolutely nothing. THATS WHY I NEED A DOCTOR! Also, who are the reception staff to determine what’s urgent and what isn’t? Utter joke of a practice

Two week wait to have a telephone call back appointment! Disgusting service as this is the second time calling and both times unable to get an appointment or even a call back!! The first was for my very sick 2 year old who did need emergency care after calling 111 .... If you can register elsewhere just do it as I'm sure no where else offers zero service!
