I stayed at the holiday inn for a few days. The place looked really nice. The beds were comfy. Standard bathroom hot shower. We didn't have a fridge but we weren't fuss. Drinks were reasonable at bar. The only problem I had was the breakfast area. I asked the young guy who was looking after that area to maybe keep the area clean where food had been dropped on counter. It didn't look very nice and people were complaining. The young guy didn't response to this matter. Breakfast was standard . Clearly its not to everybody's standard. Maybe add some thing else to give a better variety of choice.

2 night stay. Night 1 very comfortable. 2nd night had a different room but was very noisy due to facing the busy road and the air conditioning wasn't working (no ones fault) and couldn't open windows due to the traffic noise, I was very kindly moved to another room and had a good night sleep. All the staff was very friendly, I will most certainly stay here again if I'm ever in the area. Thank you so much 💓

Really impressed with the warm pool and quality of the hotel. Lovely restaurant and room. Could have more choice for gluten free dinner options but breakfast had plenty, although the toaster for the gluten free toast was out and although on its ownn table, anybody could use it so making it unsafe for gluten allergy sufferers. I have suggested keeping this in the kitchen so hopefully that will be changed.

The restaurant was over priced. Had to order via your phone and hald the options weren't present. Short staffed, I was given the wrong sauce for my starter and by the time I could find someone to change this the starter was cold. Expect this in a cheap restaurant but not when it is about 16 pounds per main. Bed was very soft so woke up very sore.
When we went to check out we were told we owed more money, we didn't open a tab just paid as we went. We were told that we had put stuff on our tab, and when we checked the invoice at reception this was not the food we had ordered. Someone had been putting all their food on our tab! This took quite a while to sort out and we had to argue with reception to not to have to pay this. The tab system is good but in this hotel it does not work, it needs an overhaul so people can't just charge everything to someone else. The key card also kept needing resetting, even when it was no where near a phone. The bar staff were good and the leisure facilities were nice, even if dated.

Not to be accused of being a liar on check out. We did not open a tab however someone else staying at the hotel had been putting items onto our room. We were told we had to pay their bill. The only reason we did not have to is because we had a receipt for dinner on the same night. It was extremely insulting to have to fight for our innocence at 6:30am before an eight-hour drive.
The online app ordering process does not work there are so many options missing, can only get archers and dash of lemonade and no malibu and orange etc.. The restaurant was severely short staffed. I had the wrong sauce with my starter and had to track someone down to get these changed, by the time I got the new sauce my starter was already cold. We had to repeatedly ask for water for our table as the young receptionist just ignored our request and went to get a bowl of water for a dog instead. Awful stay!! Key card kept breaking, and we were rudely asked 'what we had done to it'! Bed so soft woke up very sore.

Stayed here a few times. The rooms vary from very good to very average unfortunately. The room this time was the worst one we have been in. Very small for a double. Bar had run out of many drinks with the promise of new stock the next day, but sadly no. On the plus side its very convenient, clean and comfortable beds.

Not impressed with a chain that promotes itself as quality provider.
Once past the nice shiny reception area it goes down hill very quickly.
The hotel is tired, scruffy, poorly maintained and well past its best. I’d be embarrassed if it was mine.
My room had no heating on a cold night. Can’t get an answer on the phone to reception. So go back to the front desk to discover another guest complaining about her room being cold and draughty. With no heating either. Apparently they’ve been getting work done and they knew there was a number of rooms with no heating! This didn’t seem to phase them and it was almost like they said, “yes? And your point is?”
I demanded to see the duty manager who was perplexed that I wasn’t happy with the situation. He seemed confused I wasn’t going to accept the situation. So once I made it clear I expected a solution of some sort he went off and found a portable oil heater. Problem solved .
But then I find in the bathroom empty shampoo bottles from the previous guest! The room itself was very dusty, grubby , worn out and shabby. The beds are VERY soft and uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin and noisy guests coming back at 1am banging about literally sounds like they are in the same room as you.
On leaving the next morning after a less than restful night what with noisy neighbours, traffic noise, noisy plumbing, awful old bed, I find in the corridors fire doors which don’t close fully. This a crucial safety aspect for hotels with a sleeping occupancy risk. Totally unacceptable.
I cannot recommend this place at all. I will NEVER be back here .

Absolutely LOVED our stay here. The staff go above and beyond! The meal options were amazing and the pool was a great hit with the kids. Loved the sauna and steam room for the adults. I would definitely come back. Felt so at home and the staff were super responsive - nothing was too much effort and everything is done with such warmth and friendliness. Hotel is so clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks left in the room as well. We also took our two fur kids with and the staff made sure they accomodated them as well. Super service from reception, room service, the breakfast staff and the kitchen! All around! Thank you!!!
