Had a very pleasant stay. Friendly staff and nice pub downstairs. Room was OK and the bed slept well. The shower was fine but leaked at the glass door so the bathmat was pretty wet after a shower. Not a big issue but just wanted to mention it. Overall, I can recommend this hotel.

Lovely room. Tastefully decorated and well-appointed. Two things: the TV signal was so poor I could only get BBC1, nothing else; the tap in the bathroom is wrong for the basin - if turned on too full water misses the edge of the basin and splashes on the floor. Otherwise very good. A plus point is the highr number of elctrical sockets. I had a cooked breakfast which I thought was very good value for money. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly.

We had a great stay at the Five Bells. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely and we both slept well. There were just two small issues which didn't effect our stay but might want to be followed up. We couldn't see a remote for the telly and the shower door didn't quite close at the bottom so the floor would have got wet if we hadn't put a bath mat iand small towel n front. But great night stay and we will be back again. Great team of staff, well done.

The five bells staff were great as were the cleaning staff of the B&B. The quality of the breakfasts and other food purchased from the Five Bells was excellent. I was surprised there were not cereal and fruit options for anyone who doesn’t like a cooked breakfast. This was not an issue for me but I have family members who had they been with us , I think might have raised concerns. The reason for the low score were; the hardness of the bed (my wife couldn’t sleep and was therefore tired for our planned daily activities, I found it uncomfortably firm. Also the room was tight and sparse with no wardrobe space, limited hanging rail over a table that limited the length of garments you could hang, and very little draw space. This meant that the chair was taken out of service to be used to hold the travel bag to dress from to save having to bend down to the floor to do retrieve garments etc. Also there were no glasses in the bathroom to use for mouth washing and no toilet brush, spotlessly clean loos being something about which I am OCD. The cleanliness of the room was not in question at all. It was our ability to manage that during the stay.

Room was good, clean and comfortable but bathroom failed - toilet so close to heated towel rail that, if it had been on, it would have been impossible to use. Was very difficult to use tpilet as it was. A major fail ( room 3). Breakfast was good and generally good value for money, but toilet a major problem!

Our stay was fantastic, great customer repour from staff, very helpful, well mannered, fiendly. Everyone made us welcome and nothing was any trouble if required anything. We had a laugh and a great experience, the food was amazing, and the room we stayed in was perfect, clean warm and cosy, we was certainly comfortable. It was the perfect location to where we needed to go to as well for the championships my son attended. My son wanted to stay another night but unfortunately we had to come home. We would certainly come again and must certainly would recommend to others as well.

As always when coming back to Aylesbury to attend the annual dinner for the Aylesbury association for the protection of persons and property founded 1785, I book rooms at the five bell Weston turville. I am always welcomed by the staff and the room is always clean and tidy and good value. The staff are very kind and helpful.
But, I must draw you attention to your chef of that time, morning of 2nd. He appeared from the kitchen and to my horror looked like he had just finished a shift in an abattoir as his clothing was covered in blood stains and dirt. Not a great look before breakfast and it got worse. My son was feeling a little delegate after his night out so opted for a light breakfast. A couple of things he asked for we not available so went for the bacon muffin and two poached eggs. His meal arrived but when he cut into his egg it was barely cooked and was just runny jelly running off his muffin, as you can imagine this turned him and he left for the room!
The lady serving the table was very good and apologetic and made my son a bacon sandwich to take away.
So what I am saying is what happened to chefs whites, plus he needs a course on cooking.
My full breakfast was ok, but not as good as previous stays, the plate was very greasy to touch and generally a bit of a mess.
My brother in law is a top ex in Eco Lab and I have a good idea he would have had plenty to say at the time.

Otherwise as I say the hotel was fine and would stay again, but might skip breakfast!

Yours sincerely

Poor selection of hot drinks, no water provided. Poor quality bedding, had to ask for another duvet. Terrible bathroom, body touching shower curtain when in shower. Tired paintwork. WiFi extremely poor and poor phone signal. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Certainly not worth £90 per night
