Travelodge London Excel

Convenient for Excel centre - its close to the East entrance but a mile walk to West entrance. There is a good, but busy Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel.
Rooms are basic and not big, but do their job and are clean. It was a shower, not a bath, but I prefer that and the water pressure was great. Food was very basic, lots was off the menu. We had a few problems with the door card but they sorted it fairly easily.

Had an amazing time both myself from Toronto and my cousin from New York. We were a bit shocked at the difference of the 2 bed situation in UK as this was our first trip and very use too having 2 Queen beds and seeing London’s double beds consisted of 2 twins and what we were not use to as North Americans. I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room due to my mobility issues and remained happy especially because of the staff especially Rehanna and Courtney whom made us feel right at home and continually checked in on us and that our needs were met. We were honestly heartbroken when leaving. When I say A+ customer service that is and was an understatement! We would return just for the exceptional customer service alone. Had a great time and because of them would return time and time again! Thank-you trAvelodge, & thank-u for your exceptional choosing of staff!

I work regularly at Excel and have stopped at most of the local hotels. The Travelodge is the cheapest and without a doubt the worst. It's noisy, not cleaned very well, the breakfast was cold and the staff were apathetic. The only thing I liked was the shower pressure. Shame the shower curtain didn't reach the shower tray spilling water all over the bathroom floor.
Do yourself a favour and spend a little more. The Holiday Inn next door or the Premier Inn aren't much more expensive.

Room was tidy but smaller rooms than in other Travelodges. No wardrobe or hairdryer. Location is within walking distance (about 8 minutes) from Excel but the path can be a bit obscure and twisty. Google maps directs correctly.

Really nice sized rooms. Clean. Fresh towels provided. Shower only in the standard rooms, unsure of the plus rooms. Good customer service. You have to pay for private parking off road, non guests can use it too, 24hrs is £10, I suppose prices vary with how long the stay is and you can come and go once parking has been paid for and validated - please read the sign posts. There is a bar inside and nice place to sit and chill. Lift use available for upper floors.

Asked for a ground floor room and was accommodated. Staff are friendly, and go the extra mile to help you. Service and treatment is always valued more then the room for me. The staff provided this! The room is clean and you get what you pay for. James (staff member), keep up your great customer service standard

Welcoming and helpful reception staff, clear explanation from staff of evacuation procedures for wheelchair users and closet refuge point to allocated room took the time to find out specific needs, clean well presented family room, good buffet breakfast.
Didn't bother us but some early morning noise from very close train line and flight path proximity

This hotel offered a nice room but as soon as we went to grab a hot drink none of the electrical sockets were working.. (only the USB port near the bedside) The lady from downstairs kindly came and resolved the issue & everything was working again.

We asked for extra pillows but none were available..

The toilet seat in the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly as it still had a yellow unflattering mark on it..

Overall this was a nice stay at this hotel.
