I only had a dinner here but it’s absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere, views and food was brilliant. Families with young children will appreciate this - kid’s food comes just the right temperature, not piping hot. Also, appreciate that service understands little ones and their food came first. It was wonderful experience and hope I’ll have a chance to stay at the Pig soon.

Stunningly beautiful location and grounds. Outdoor bar/pizza cafe is lovely. The old house is splendid and characterful. The decor is British country house-influenced but in a stripped down, very tasteful manner. The only thing letting the place down is that the food is average but expensive. Apart from a divine Lemon Posset the other food we all sampled was just OK.

Went for a family gathering, and it could not have been better. The staff were so lovely and attentive, and couldn't do enough for us. The house was amazing, and the food exceptional. Very well stocked bar, and lots of local drinks, and local food. Cannot rate it highly enough!

This felt like staying in a friend's cosy country home. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble . Our room was gorgeous, the bed so comfy and it was utterly peaceful with no noise from other rooms. Fantastic food, we ate too much! Have already booked to go back in winter.

Spending nearly £200 on a meal for two, I expect perfection. Young unprofessional waiters. Steak hard to chew. Potatoes arriving 5 minutes after meal served. Had to ask and wait for a steak knife. Bread cut with waiters hands all over. Should be gloves. Served food and walked away without asking if need anything else. Having such a good experience previously at the kitchen restaurant, our anniversary meal was a huge disappointment.

Couldn't fault the lovely meal we had at the Pig for my birthday. I've been to a few Pig hotels and they never fail to disappoint. The food is lovely and fresh, the ambience of the rooms is perfect and tastefully decorated/well lit, but what was most impressive was the staff. All of them were polite, knowledgeable and the right level of attentive. You could tell took real pride in their work, even the younger members of staff. It's so refreshing to experience and makes such a difference. Well done. You guys have got it all just right.

The food was very nice and the waiting staff very polite and helpful. I found the decor in the dining room a bit depressing, the lighting so low i could hardly read the menu . The menu itself was a bit unclear as to where starters ended and mains began. The toilets were peculiar, i prefer Ladies to sows and would rather not bump into passing "boars " when emerging to wash my hands. Difficult to tell staff from customers, dress down is ok but i think it's a bit too down for me. I'm an old fashioned gal. It was an experience and not an unpleasant one but not to my taste.

Super location. Delicious food. The best Pork scratchings with apple sauce ever sampled. Really clever use of Vintage China and cutlery. Clever napkin ring's. Lunch for my Mother's birthday was delicious and we were brought a surprise course in honour of her birthday
