Queens Hotel

Came for breakfast this morning, honestly one of the best vegetarian breakfasts we have seen. Great portions and really good taste, staff were really happy to help and I’ve never met a chef who was as friendly as the chap today. Both me and my partner were honestly really impressed and wished we lived closer to get the breakfast every week. I don’t often review a place but this was exceptional.

Room a little dated and basic, however it was clean and the bed linen/ towels were pristine. The bed was spacious and the mattress/ pillows were comfortable. Given the price paid, I'd say the room was very good value-for-money. Only complaint would be the low water pressure in the shower.

Recently refurbished rooms, neat and clean. Prince room (7) very spacious for 4 people. Both rooms had TV, towels, soaps, kettle, bath, shower, clothes rack with hangers, hair dryer and plenty of draws.
Overall, warm and welcoming stay with a few local options for food.

Really, one of the worst hotels in my long and experienced travel life. a half-painted room, dirty and smelling of paint. We have had no help from the hotel. They have ignored us and given us no solution. Truly, to never return nor recommend it to anyone.

Popped in here hoping to have some food but unfortunately they aren't serving. So stopped for a drink, barman was very friendly and gave some good advise fir places in the area.

Like most of Blaenau the Queens has seen better days. We enjoyed a evening there last week although there was no food and no proper beer on tap or bottled. But we were allowed by the friendly landlord to eat a takeaway from Trish and Chips across the road.

Recent refurbished rooms, this is a nice place to stay especially if you're looking to go Zip World and want somewhere close by.
