From outside did not look appealing. However we were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was large and spacious, with a balcony. The ensuite was large, with a powerful shower in a cubicle. The only downside was the beds. They had seen better days and were a tad lumpy.
Would we go again - yes we would.

Messed up my reservation and refused to provide me with a refund. When I arrived, told me I didn't have a reservation when I had pre-paid. Place was stupidly loud and would never have been able to have slept there anyway. Absolute dive of a place. Avoid at all costs and stay at the Best Western in Pontypool instead

Lovely staff and well kept rooms which had a large balcony and tv. Pub was big and had the football and horse racing on, good atmosphere and drinks prices. Would stay again. Thank you for having us Cambrian Inn.

First, this is not a four-star hotel. It’s a two star inn. The food is OK, the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean if basic.

The accommodations are definitely not family friendly. What is not made clear is that the rooms are directly above the pub and it’s almost like you’re in the bar with its patrons. The walls and the floor are super thin, you can hear what’s going on right next-door, whatever it may be. There’s also another pub right next door.

In no way shape or form would I ever recommend staying here with children. That said, if your goal is to party and have a good time, have have at it.
