Our party of four had a wonderful lunch at the Hand Hotel today. One of the party has cancer and needs to shelter from covid so we phoned first to ask the staff if they could give us a secluded spot in the garden. They made sure we had a lovely covered table out of the wind, and asked our preferences for ordering to make sure we’re were comfortable with the level of contact. In addition to this the food was wonderful, the service was wonderful and we had a really great time!

Hand hotel was reasonable for the weekend. Just a couple of things let it down. There are two or three times for breakfast to commence. We were told the wrong time and couldn't have breakfast as we had to be somewhere at a time. The airflow in the room was poor even though the staff had provided a fan. Food was good but nobody told us the resteraunt was closed for a party so we had to sit in the cafe part for our evening meal. Just sorting all the breakfast times would be a start. The menu has one time, the board outside has another and the staff tell you something else. Please sort it.

What a brilliant place.The Chef who cooked the meals deserves a special mention because the 3 dishes he cooked were outstanding. Everyone gave a first class service. We will definitely be going back. Thank you all so much ❤️.

Lovely old building with very friendly staff. Room was clean with a good bathroom. Lost one star because mattress was a little soft. Would stay there again 😎

The Hand Hotel a lovely old building and we had a family room.The food and level of service very good although the room a bit hot for my liking. The bathroom needs some TICKETS but overall a great short break. The staff were brilliant by the way!

I stayed In the hand hotel and I slept really well. The room are so clean the food is really good. The room I was in was warm. The staff are so nice. People who stay in the hand hotel are really Quiet.

12 of us have enjoyed a lovely lunch here today. The food was really good with good portions and prices and everything came exactly as ordered. The two staff serving us were excellent. It's been about 38 years since I was last in The Hand but I definitely won't leave it as long next time!

Had lunch here to celebrate a family birthday- 12 of us in total. Food was all excellent and the service second to none - very accommodating staff and nothing was too much trouble. Those that chose one of the many burgers on offer were really pleased - it was all faultless. Thank you
