Despite what their response said, they did attend my house, and while they were in contact with my wife and not me directly, I was their customer.
This company has terrible business practices.
I sent them an email enquiring about a domestic cleaner after which I received a contract draft and link to FAQs. In those FAQs, it transpired that the company's insurance does not cover 'bleach and corrosive chemicals'. I then requested a call that the company reluctantly answered, in which they did admit that they don't allow cleaners to use bleach and any chemicals, including descaling liquids. I then asked with what the cleaners are allowed to clean to be covered by insurance, to which the person (Abu) tried to sell me a deep clean service on top of the domestic cleaning service I enquired about, because only the cleaners who do the deep cleaning are trained and insured for bleach and corrosive chemicals. He said he would look up the products allowed for domestic cleaning and get back in touch, but admitted that there will likely not be many apart from some eco products, also understanding that these do not remove limescale.
Four days passed without a response, but I kept receiving daily notifications to sign a contract. Today, I received a message from an unknown number that they are outside my door and if I can let them in (the company claims this was a cleaner but I have no way of verifying, since they never rang the bell, and how would they know my address as until I now I had not shared it?).
The responses from the company have been absolutely apalling, accusing me of being dishonest, bullying and intimidating them and on top of all that, that I am bound by a contract I never signed (!). All written in broken English and sentences that don't even make sense.
I am glad I have not signed anything, since out of every £16 charged for cleaning, the agency takes £5 (for me around £60 monthly agency fees to the agency alone). I would rather hire a cleaner directly and give this money directly to a nice person who actually does the job.
