I had a flood from a burst pipe whilst they were cleaning the property and they all chipped in to clean it up and manage the leak. They were then extremely flexible by waiting a few days whilst I had the plumber fix the leak before completing the job. They came back and did a fantastic clean. They were extremely friendly and I could not recommend them more highly.
They perform the work, provide a detailed invoice for a total of £290 which I pass on over to my agency to show the services we had (oven cleaning and property cleaning only). The agency being one of the big high street companies that everyone will know (I’m not going to say the name as I don’t want to get done for slander). This agency I’m leaving for reasons I’m sure many others will recognise, the agency has been so much work every step of the way, causing issue after issue so we eventually gave up and decided to move house and find a private landlord to rent from instead.
Once we were out, the agency found no end of issues, issues with oil on the drive way, issues with the way doors opened in the house etc. They wanted to charge us maintenance work, as well as charge us £190 to have some cleaning touch up done. I queried everything from the agency, especially this stupid inflated cleaning charge as I had already paid £290 and was extremely impressed with quality of the clean I had received. The oven looked brand new! After much arguments with the agency, they reluctantly gave me a break down of why these costs were what they were and what needed “recleaning”. Unbelievably I found out the floors throughout needed mopping. That was it! £190 to get someone back to mop. I decided to do it myself and to my shock when I returned these marks were made after the clean took place and were caused by house viewings from the agency with everyone walking their dirty wet shoes throughout the house at this time of year it’s bound to cause dirty foot prints.
Now I’m not saying this will be the case for everyone, but had I not argued with this agency I might have easily jumped to conclusions and told this cleaning company they were terrible, they should refund me £190 when in fact they did a perfectly good job. The agency is entirely to blame here, with a ridiculous inflated price. We paid £290 to have the whole house top to bottom cleaned, they wanted £190 to spend 5 minutes mopping throughout. It’s certainly alarming when you see that figure quoted from the agency, but it only takes one moment of thought to remember agencies can be the worst example of a business out there, trying to get every penny out of you possible at someone else’s expense.
As mentioned, once I had explained to Mayer about the situation caused by the agency (an issue Mayer told me they are aware of from this agency which is why they refuse to work directly with them) they did ask me to put this on here for others to see and I was more than happy to take 10 minutes to do it for them.
I paid £462 for an end of tenancy clean.
The level of cleaning was incredibly basic, not something you would expect for that amount of money.
When I contacted the company for a re-clean and sent pictures showing dust, grime and hair. They were unresponsive and unwilling to rectify the issues before new tenants moved into the property.
Do not waste your time or money by using this company.
The carpet clean was the biggest disappointment as it felt as if it had just been washed with water. The carpet:
1. Still had a cigarette odour
2. A large stain was left.
This company was asked to return to fix the stain and has refused. Very disappointed.
I booked Mayer Cleaning service for a 3 Bed House. They did not clean the house properly. They left dust around the all carpets, Cowebs are left on the wall behind the cupboard and Front Gate.
Area above kitchen cabinets were not cleaned.
They hardly took around 1:30 hrs to clean 3 bed house. Certainly not a professional and deep clean which I was promised.Over the phone while booking the service Mayer promised that if the job is not satisfactory with in 48 hours then will send someone to fix it. So, I sent an email to them to complian about this and requested to send cleaning guys to fix the remaining issues. But no one came till date.
After you complain about their service. They will always try to prove that they are right and client is wrong. But its not in reality.
They asked my the money upfront as soon as the guys entered the house. The guy called me and said they won't start the work unless paid in full. There is a reason for it right ?
Mayer was also very unprofessional and rude over the email as well.
One of the most expensive companies in Woking and yet terribly unprofessional. We ordered an end of tenancy clean, initially through the phone, but then were told by Adam to go online to find a quote. We did, and clicked every single box available (all units/items that required cleaning) and yet the carpets were not cleaned. The walls were left mouldy. And for an invoice, we were left a hand written note saying they “were told not to clean the carpets”. We had not mentioned anything about the carpets (as we were under the impression that an end of tenancy will include carpets) and clearly this note demonstrated that the carpets was something they were aware of they just never bothered to disclose this information to us.
And then when tried to address this with the company, expressing that we were not happy with the service, we were accused of being rude, “It was upsetting and rude to hear this from you”. This company does not understand customer service, I am appalled.
You could have provided a nice service with good responses and we would not have hesitated to use you again and refer you to our friends, but instead you have demonstrated severe lack of professionalism and this will not fare well for your business.
