Helü Cafe - Wings, Beer and Softserve

Matcha and original soft serve intertwined in a crunchy cone then topped with popping candy and strawberry nibs. The ice cream was soft and silky. The matcha was my favourite of the two. As for the toppings, well if I ever get bored of popping candy then I will be bored of life. I could go without the strawberry nibs - they didn't really add much. Dine next door at bunbunbun and you can get a 10% voucher at Helü.

Good quality ice cream, even if there is only a small variety. Waffle isn't bad either. Fun wall with great art kept as we entertained 😊

Helu located in Kingsland Road is a great chilled out spot for ice cream and chicken wings. The interior is simple but functional offering seating for 20 to 25 on wooden tables and stools.

The menu focuses on three offerings - Asian style wings, ice cream and coffee. Helu also offers Asaki beer to tap and a variety of non alcoholic drinks. The owner Oliver is as chilled out and friendly as the atmosphere.

The Matcha ice cream (which is made at the premise) and iced Vietnamese coffee are tasty and should not be missed. The chicken wings are Asian style and something special - crunchy, tender and moist. They come in 5 or 10 with a choice of five flavours including soy garlic.

Helu cafe was great. I stopped here after having dinner next door and it was amazing. I ordered the cookies+cream sundae with half matcha/half vanilla mix. The sundae was delicious and pretty. The owner was very friendly and overall I enjoyed my experience. I would recommend this place to family and friends for sure.

Ordered a matcha&vanilla mixed cookie cream sundae but bottom part was all chocolate sprinkles/crumbles (bit greedy). pricy for this kinda portion. Matcha is ok, but doesn’t taste of high quality.

We ordered fried chicken take away to try, and wow super impressed! Super crispy korean-style fried chicken and batter wasn't thick. Got the plain one and garlic butter, which was SOOO GOOD! Not expensive, will be back soon!
