Eastern Nights

Ordered via "Just Eat" website. Phoned for an order update after delivery window had been missed by 30 minutes and was told "the driver had just left". Gave it another half hour and phoned again - the driver had left "about 15 minutes ago". Cancelled the order.

10 minutes later their driver turns up. Advised their driver the order was cancelled and not wanted now as a refund had been received (which was only done when I threatened to raise complaints with Just Eat and PayPal).

Had a cheese sandwich instead... Very nice.

Restaurant - YES HALAL SERVED!

We came here because it's the only restaurant in a 5/8 mins drive and easily accessible to go out to eat. That's about the 2nd decent thing I can say about the restaurant location. There are other restaurants around but is only take away. It's the ONLY seating DiNE- INN restaurant closest. Plus suitable for quick much.

Food - it's good. Take reasonable but no particular signature strike here. The portion be very small compared that you get in London. See images below.

Little one made mess - sincere apologies.

Atmosphere - DEAD. There's no spark
Car park - very little where you can find really.
Host - Hospitable and somewhat welcoming. There is no VIBE.
Child friendly - not so much and NO child seat.
Decorative - OLD and Dead, haunted feeling. Sofa smelled and bad air came from when seated and cob webs seen on the side it's not something I would go back to. They sell alcohol. Table rocked.
Hand wash at entrance, really good to see.

Price - Alittle overpriced especially what you get in portion.

Went here recently and the food was fantastic. Great service and reasonably priced . Staff friendly and service was quick . Will be returning !

Me and my boyfriend went here recently and we was really impressed with the service and the food was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice sit down Indian meal.

First time ordering. Food arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected and was piping hot. Great flavours and will definitely order again. Highly recommend.

Garlic Naan - excellent
Mixed Biriani - flavour good but very little meat to be found
Veg curry - excellent
For price paid would have definitely expected more meat/prawns

We ordered a lamb rogan gosh from Eastern Nights. It should have looked like the photo on the left but instead we got the photo on the right! Very disappointed. We complained and were told the manager was the chef and we could have another dish. We wanted a refund instead of another dish made by the same chef!

Me and my partner have been ordering from here for the last year or so. I previously would have rated 5 stars as it is reasonably priced and the flavours from the curry and the mango chutney in particular, are lovely! However, the last two times we have ordered, the food has been cold and we have had to microwave it for it to be edible. Such a shame as I really enjoy this place and we order every 2 weeks roughly. However, unless I get a reasonable response I think we will be trying to find a new local Indian takeaway.
