About yesterday we had a family dinner out there. We really enjoyed the food but the only bad thing the food portion wise is less. Staffs are humble and good over welcomed to us. Thank you.

Wow what a place, called in last night on me own the place was rammed..asked for a table for one ,they went out of there way to get me a table just had a drink at bar which was fine by me.once seated the service was top notch very friendly and welcoming.
The food was absolutely brilliant had a chicken jalfreizi and must say its one of the best I've ever had....I am about for a bit so will return and try another dish...
Thank you.

We stopped in Winchester for our dinner break. We were recommended a lamb dish by the steward which was delicious. The portion size was good too. Will definitely recommend this place.

Exceptional! 🇳🇵

This is my thing; I know a thing or two about good Indian, Nepalese cuisine. The offering here was excellent and far surpassing expectations.

I was offered a table promptly. They even asked if the lighting was okay before seating me.

The menu was typical for a U.K. offering but I knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, it was not in the menu. Nevertheless they made no quibble and made me, mattar paneer.

The food was hot, decent in portion size and exactly as I love it. Full of flavour. Succulent chicken tikka and a dhansak sauce thick, sweet and sour, full of red lentils, cooked to perfection.

The rice was delicious and not overly greasy. A beautiful soft pillow Garlic naan made for a good mopping up. Nothing was left here, not a scrap.

Very reasonable prices.
1x mattar paneer side
1x CT dhansak
1x special ride
1x garlic naan
1x pint soda lime
Cira £26

🇳🇵Well done Taste of Gurkhas 🇳🇵
I rarely give 5 stars but you deserve it.

Great food and a nice family-like atmosphere. You can see the chefs preparing the food in the kitchen which is visible at the rear of the restaurant. The menu has the usual favourites and some other Himalayan specials. Delicious!

Very very disappointed, don't be fooled by the intro on the menu with regards to a top top chef cooking exquisite Nepalese cuisine , really was shocking. Wife ordered a chicken dish but was presented with a lamb dish . And as for a 4 in food hygiene I feel that that's being over rated found hair in the food, and as for the sauce and chutney trays to complement the poppadoms were just simply refilled from table to table without even washing or changing the cutlery.

Takeaway review: probably my favourite "curry" restaurant in Winchester despite being Nepalese rather than Indian or such. My wife loves the Kathmandu Lamb, the kids love the korma and I think the tandoori mixed grill is fantastic. We also often have Goan fish curry which is very top and Bombay aloo or saag aloo. Last time we ordered was a Thursday so not the busiest time and our food was ready in half an hour and the order was perfect (collection not delivered).

Thought we would try something new, not disappointed. Really nice food. Liked the premium lager too.
