Coronation Curry House

Wow!! What an experience the staff were superb. Really authentic Indian cuisine. Really made us very welcome. If you are looking for a place to eat where you can experience the true flavours of India. This is your place.

M wife and and I were visiting our son who lives in Bedminster and he took us to the Coronation Curry House. We enjoyed probably the best curry we've ever eaten ( and we like to think of ourselves as connoisseurs of Indian cuisine). The service was was top notch, the portion sizes were generous. I can't think of any criticism. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Bristol. If I could give six stars. I would.

Simply just amazing food and very friendly and welcoming service. Checked in on all the meals and ensured we had everything up to standard. Would highly recommend the Tandoori King Prawn sizzler

This restaurant is run by very lovely people! The staff will welcome you with warmth and they have good humour. They know the menu well and able to offer recommendations according to your interest and palate.

The food is generally good, although the “spicy” curry wasn’t as hot as I expected it to be (but I guess understandably they have to accommodate the British palate).

The owner was absolutely brilliant and knows how to make customers feel special. Me and my wife felt like Royalty and were given best service we have ever had in a restaurant. Now for the food… wow the food is wonderful tasty fresh with large portions and lots of choice. Cannot recommend this lovely little Bristol gem enough.

Our last trip to Bristol and finally get to this Curry House. Just getting a takeaway but helpful staff offering a walk through the menu. The vegetarian platter was good, paneer is a favourite of so another dish with it was taken. Ordered in person quite soon after they opened and it was already busy. The poppadoms and pickles were superb with sylheti lime giving a citric punch. Would return for an eat in.

Delicious, though the spicy section of the menu wasn’t very spicy at all. Very uncommon for Indian cuisine, but perhaps they assumed we wanted the “watered down” version… we will certainly be back and clarify in the future that we actually want the spicy dish to come spicy :)

Tasty food but small restaurant so make sure to book a table. Even though full still allowed us to do a takeaway order which was tasty. Writing this review to remind myself to go more often.
