Ali's Indian Restaurant

Excellent service.

Some of the best tasting Indian food I’ve had on my travels as in Indian food critic.

Paneer tikka was amazing with the perfect char and delicious onions.

CT dhansak was lovely and citrus with a nice background heat from a little chilli.

Great sized portions.

Typical Indian restaurant style decor and was perfectly clean and tidy.

I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to return.

Although, I did think that’s nearly £5 for a Coke was too much on average.

Have been here over 20 times and never had a bad word to say about the staff or the service or the food. Except for last night, the owner was rude , aggressive. He actually barred me for voicing my opinion about his attitude. I wont be going back here until he moves on. Such as shame as the staff are lovely and the food is gorgeous. The owner brought shame on the reputation and deserves to retire gracefully as he knows nothing about customer service.
He even had the cheek to bar me and still make me pay for the food.
Shocking behaviour from someone in the restaurant business.

We pre booked a table for 6 when we got there it seemed they weren't ready for us, they managed to squeeze us in at the back of the restaurant which didn't take to much time. The staff were very friendly and the food was to a good standard. But unfortunately we had to wait a very long time to eat.

We have eaten at the restaurant and had takeaways including xmas day and the food is just lovely. The staff are all very nice. 5 stars isnt enough 😁

My first visit here with my wife after hearing lots of positive reviews from others. The reviews were spot on. What a lovely place. The food was served in a timely manner and was hot and tasty. The service was absolutely first class. The staff were all very attentive and helpful throughout our visit. We will definitely be returning for another visit as there's plenty on the menu I want to try. Thank you once again.

Wonderful service, food was just far too spicy for me and couldn't eat it unfortunately. I would usually order a jalfrazi (which is a spicy dish), but this was next level for me. This is only my opinion and next time I will go for a milder option as Ali's is a lovely place to go and eat and I will visit again.

After discovering Ali's during the first lockdown I ate in the restaurant for the first time as part of the Sunday Banquet deal and it was incredible. The staff are friendly and attentive and the portion sizes on the mains and sides are enormous. The table was absolutely loaded. I went for the Aag eh Lazeez and it came flaming with brandy and tasted incredible, it was unlike any Curry I'd tried before, very unique. I always try to be adventurous at Ali's, trying stuff even if it sounds a bit unusual, but every single dish I've tried has been a hit.

Lovely food, we were a big table of 22, so took a while to get all of us fed, but was worth the wait.
