Been coming here on/off over many years, decor hasn't changed in decades. Good easygoing atmosphere never rushed which is part of the evening. I'm sorry to have to say the lamb was a bit tuff and chicken dry. Never the less not so bad as to distract you from a tasty meal. Clean and licensed bar.

Came here before a gig at the Globe. Service great - very polite, quick and efficient, and food was delicious, especially the sag paneer! Only thing was they gave my partner the wrong dish (which was too hot for her!) and we didn't have time to ask them to cook the correct one as we were on our way to a gig. Really they shouldn't have charged is for her dish as they said it was their error.

3 successive weeks now we have had consistently great food. I’ve now found the best Indian food place in Cardiff. The food is always piping hot, spot on with flavour, not excessive but definitely generous in portions. Great on price too. I’ve tried many Indian restaurants and from a customer perspective Himalayan really is doing it right with the food. Excellent value for money, excellent service, excellent food. I recommend it to anyone fed up of the nonsense being dished up around the suburbs.
I don’t usually leave reviews because every weekend I’d be writing about poor service and quality of food, however, this gem of a place not only needs its praises sung but you really do need to try it. Thank you Himalayan!! 👍🏻

This restaurant was previously run down, because of the old owner.

When the New (current owner) took over, he spent thousands on renovating the place to bring it upto high standards.

The previous owner did not make him aware of anything like it was unhygienic and had mouse droppings.

The new owner has really done a great job and doesn't want to feel he is to blame for how the restaurant was before.

Saw a news article about this and thought everyone should know that this guy bought the restaurant off the previous owner who never told him the truth.

Over on a trip from Australia, our favourite curry house when we lived in Cardiff over 25 years ago. Met up with 3 old friends and the food was superb. Decor and service were great and we had a great few hours. I have been here a few times since emigrating, never disappointed and I will be back in Ausgust with a bigger group of friends.

really pleased with the variety and pricing, food was tasty and hot
The 3 colour rice was good and the chicken dish was nice with no fatty bits of chicken which were well marinated.
the chutney tray was fresh and enjoyable and the Garlic naan bread was not scorched or luke warm like other restaurants provide.
This is our local now for dine In and Take away.
