The Village Massala

If you want a decent Indian that isn't too expensive then this is the place for you! Came here with my partner for a spontaneous date night and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was the best Vindaloo I've tasted in a long time ❤️ the team that work here are friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing ( although I think our eyes were too big for our belly, we couldn't eat it all 😂 ) Shall definitely be eating here again.

Was ok, torn between 3-4 stars because the staff were super friendly I liked it in there just the food was abit so so tbh, I’ve had a lot better food for the price.

First time visiting this evening with my family (9 of us). We booked for 5pm and were the only ones in for around 30 minutes when it started to get busier.

Aesthetically, the interior is nice but needs new flooring, the ceiling could do with repainting as it looks like they’ve had a leak & they could do with new chairs as you feel like you sink into them even though they are ‘leather’.

The welcome we got was very warm & pleasant. Waiting on staff were extremely attentive if not a little too much some of the time, there was always a member of staff coming round seeing if we had finished when it would have just been nice to be served our food, asked if all was ok & left to it until we had all finished, we did feel a tad rushed.

The food itself was really very nice, tasty, fresh & excellent portion sizes especially the child portion of curry…brilliant.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant & will visit again.

Was staying in the premier inn near. This was the second time we have dined at the village masala. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and the food is delicious. Would definitely recommend dining here. We were a family of 4 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 10 year Le17.

Absolutely fabulous as usual. Fantastic food and drink. Staff are attentive without being intrusive. Well worth a visit if you love Indian food. They do offer a steak, omelette, scampi and a couple of other choices for non Indian food lovers. They also have a take away service which is at a discounted price but I'm sure it's collection only.

Another excellent meal tonight. Service was great even though the young man forgot to pack the curry in our doggy bag but we all make mistakes in life. Most definitely recommend this restaurant 👌

Great curry house located pretty much next door to a Premier Inn: what's not to like? Friendly staff and good food mean I'll happily go back next time I'm in the area. Top tip: like any good restaurant, it can get busy, even early evening as it's popular with families, so it's worth booking a table.

My partner and i usually eat here once a week . The food is always so tasty with so much attention to taste and attention to detail in the presentation. The staff always greet us with big smiles and friendly welcomes and nothing seems to be too much for them. Really lovely place that we would highly recommend. Love this place.
