Visited with a large group of friends. Our food was ordered in advance and was ready all at the same time, nice and hot. Vegetable jalfrezi was delicious (they checked it was dairy free for me). They also have a sign up saying to inform them of any food allergies/dietary requirements so they seem happy to accommodate this.

Service was fantastic and very friendly. The meal was for a friend leaving and they brought out a chocolate cake at the end which was a lovely touch. They were also very generous with the poppodoms and dips at the beginning of the meal.

The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is there was some confusion over the bill at the end because we all paid separately, some in cash, some on cards. It was just an error (something hadn't been written down I think?) and it was all resolved within a few minutes. I realise it can be a pain with a large group like that but this is really the only constructive feedback I can give for the staff to be aware of, everything else was good.

As well as our group, they were also serving others in the restaurant and people collecting takeaways.

Overall, a lovely night out, great food and service, I would definitely return. I thought the prices were also very competitive.

Have been using Lahore for 50 years these days mostly takeaway. My birthday 6 of us decided to eat at restaurant. The curries sauce was thick as if warmed up. the pints of coke were flat and we were all cold. It's a shame wont bother again after all these years of eating at Lahore.

So far the best Indian subcontinent food joint I’ve tried in Newport city. Very close to the city centre, this restaurant has a huge menu with plenty of options. They have a signature menu and drinks menu apart from the regular menu.

The restaurant has an amazing ambience as well, with a a very spacious dining area. The old person who’s the owner/ manager was very friendly and courteous.

We tried Veg Jalfrezi, Lahori Biriyani, Grill platter, Tikka starter, Paneer starter, Pappadam with chutney bowl and hot beverages. All the food we tried were amazing and worth the money.

The only negative id think of is that there are no chai/ desi drinks on their menu, apparently because they don’t sell much in this British dominated area. Also, it’s a Pakistani/ Bangladeshi restaurant but uses the tag Indian restaurant, which means it’s not an authentic Indian restaurant (although that isn’t much of a problem)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ customer friendliness
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ food
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ambience
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ value for money

Verdict: An amazing choice for an Indian dinner.

Not the best place I've ever been for an Indian, but very tasty and value for money.
I do recommend and will definitely be returning.

Great meal again tonight at the Lahore. So consistently good.
I've been eating here over 50 years and I know some have been coming here for longer than that.
The company was outstanding too 😉
