Upsides: Great ambience.
Courteous staff.
Serve good portion size...Doesn't follow less is more in terms of portion size as other top rated restaurants
Good Indian food.
A pleasant homely experience for fellow Indians n Asians.
Downsides:
May be haven't tried everything thing but spice lovers may find a bit too much of tomato puree flavour in most dishes.
Impression:
I shall definitely recommend it to everyone. Also looking forward to visit many more times to explore more dishes.
Thank you.
The menu has been streamlined, so the photos on Google will need updating, a few princely dishes have been removed, but there is plenty of choice with chicken, mutton and vegetarian options, also the hotel menu with traditional British options.
The waitresses were great, everything was timely and well presented, the food looked fantastic and stayed warm in their candle-heated dishes. Effort was put into the dish presentation and ingredients. The kitchen is open viewing which was nice and they served a wide modern range of drinks.
The venue was a little empty at 6.30pm but soon filled up and garnered a cosy atmosphere. Accessibility was good, there were disabled bays at the back of the Manor and easy access to the tables. I feel like the venue may be a little bit 'out of sight, out of mind' for people who are not staying at the Manor. It's somewhere you could easily pass by without realising, but it is worth driving the A48 and around about 10 minutes of country lanes to get there. If it was a high street walk-in restaurant it would probably be packed out every day. I will be visiting again.
I ordered an Indian for collection and requested a taste of a beer that was off draught and they gave me a gift bag of the beer which was immaculate.
They make Indian food that does not taste like you are slobbering 2000 plus calories. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients in both the masalla and jalfrezi.
It was immensely good and I will be back
