Lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Meat was beautifully tender.

Friendly staff. Relaxed calm Atmosphere. Great food and good value what more could you ask for apart from more poppadoms!

Me and my fiance went here for an evening meal on a Saturday evening, it was relaxed and quiet when we went and we were served very quickly and our order came out quick too. The staff were welcoming and friendly making sure we had everything we needed! The food was hot and tasty and they had a good variety to choose from.
Starters, mains, sides and a drinks menu too.

Toilets downstairs.Wheelchair and pushchairs would find entrance a squeeze but could be possible if sat near the front. Outdoor seating.

Don't take bookings just arrive whenever..

Lovely service, great portion sizes for money spent. We were stuffed on leaving. They even gave us option to take home our leftovers. Upon paying we received a 'thank you' after dinner chocolate each. I highly recommend and will come again.

We come here every time we're in Hay and have never been disappointed. The food is freshly cooked and always very tasty.
Tonight our 1.5 year old had an off evening and was not a happy guest. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive with our little one and I just wanted to say thank you for making us feel so welcome and well looked after.
The staff in general deserve mentioning for their friendliness and courtesy.

Very long waits for everything. From ordering(20+ mins), to the food being served(60+), even waiting for the bill took forever (40+). Portions of food were massive, though one of the sides we tasted and left because it was incredibly salty. Other meals were just about passable. Waiter came across as a bit aggressive when taking our order but I guess he was having a bad day. Another waiter managed to upset my 3 yr old by speaking to her in a condescending tone, I assume he was trying to be friendly. Very confusing vibe in general. Disappointing end to a lovely day in Hay.

Service was good and quick, however the food was pretty terrible.
Saag paneer masala was topped with a mountain of mozzarella cheese, which was just really strange and tasted awful. It became a rock hard inedible mound as it cooled.
Butter chicken wasn’t like any other butter chicken I’ve ever eaten. It was very sweet and tasted more like a pasanda. Edible but not good at all. Maybe we just chose some wrong dishes.
Poppadoms were decent though - generous with their dips.

Incredibly fast service, attentive and friendly staff, well priced authentic curries, extensive food menu, posh looking and feeling establishment. What more can you ask for?

Would 100% reccomend for dining in.

No fruity ciders or fruity gins but they have a nice lager and original flavour spirits selection as well as a big wine menu.
