Came here for my graduation on the 21st of July. Having spent 4 years in Cardiff I had never gotten around to coming here despite all the rave reviews. I was not disappointed. Unlike most Indian restaurants where dishes are mostly sauce with a few bits of meat in, the dishes here are full of flavour and the portions of meat provided are a pleasent surprise. I have yet to find a place that does both naan and roti so well as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for an Indian.

Not your usual Friday night curry.
Beautifully presented, super tasty and really light.
You don't have to go heavy on the carbs but the fig and coriander naan was amazing. It was also grease free! Lovely staff, great meal.

We visited this restaurant this evening, having lived very close by for a while and we left wishing we had made the most of the restaurant more often!
If you're looking for exceptional Indian cuisine and great service, this is absolutely the place to go! We loved our evening and will definitely be visiting again soon!

First time here in Cardiff and been looking on Google for good indian restaurant. This one is easily noticeable roadside. I would rate 3 based on following factors

Quantity - 2
Quantity vs cost should probably stabilize. Had roti, steamed rice, pilao rice, Veggie trio - quantity of starter in this very less like - Bombay chat, samosa, onion pakoda each single piece. Bombay chat was not available, they replaced with paneer Tikka.

quality - 4
service -4.5 --- with no hesitation.

taste -2
Bhendi masala could have tasted better - couldn't exactly figure out flavor of any masala except tomatoes , dal tadka was little salty.

Cost - 3
Dal tadka, rice, veggie trio was definitely not equal to the price they are charged with. Not sure about other items on the menu (as me & my friends are vegetarian, so of course we had vegetarian dinner).

Overall, can try for one time when you are around Cardiff. Management to look for an option to balance cost vs quantity.

Upsides.
Descent Indian food.
Good portions for reasonable price.
Well cooked mutton with delicious gravy
Good vegetarian food.
Indian bread/Naan/roti was spot on as it should be.
Courteous staff.

Downsides.
Chicken gravy, paneer starter and few dishes were too sweet for the palate.
Only one high chair for kids. So if there are more than one toddlers at the time better ask to reserve before coming in.
Parking may be an issue as it is on a busy road.

We booked and went. Menu is not extensive. There are several vegetarian options and some vegan also. We ordered tandoori cauliflower wings for starters. They were well marinated, crunchy and had delicate smoky flavour. Aubergine for mains was a good choice. Alleppey vegetarian curry was creamy and tasty resembling a bit Thai curry.
It was quiet for a weekend. It is not a good sign. But we were pleasantly surprised by the menu, food quality.
