Balti Express

Since the closure of "Rita Express" in Elm Grove Southsea, The Balti Express is now, the only Indian Takeaway I will ever use.
The Balti Express is Clean and the food is always superb every time you go there.
The prices are extremely good considering the quality of the food.

I live in Portsmouth and there are many Indian takeaways so much nearer to me but I don't even think about them when I feel a Curry coming on.

Every time it's a case of, jump in the car and take a trip to Leigh park as I know I will never ever be disappointed.

I hope and pray they will stay in business for many many years.

Just ordered and ( 10 mins later) now binned our meal. Vegetable rice given egg asked for. Raw chips and re heated pink chicken with a watery tastless sauce. £15+ wasted steer clear imo

Ordered through just eat app, they set the order as delivered at 2110, had to call to find out where it was at 2130. Food eventually arrived at 2145, cold. Don't order from here unless you like cold curry, stale poppadoms, and outrageous customer service. They will only refund half of the order amount for inedible food.

Food was late and it was barely warm called to get a poor response,I have no idea how it got to us cold as it is less the 2 min drive from us,as you can see from the photo it was really watery you should not have to microwave a takeaway extremely poor service

Well ordered chicken dupiaze, onion bhajis, garlic nann, bombay aloo and banana fritters. Turned up like warm, but 2 mins in microwave heated it up. Onion bhajis are the worse I have ever tasted, dry and perfume taste, bombay potatoe aloo was stale potatoe taste or most like the days before, they had that funny taste to potatoes, chicken was dry and not just because I had to microwave it. The banana fritters well all i can say is leave it to the Chinese, the so called batter was burnt to the point of 1/4 of one was rock solid. The garlic naan was the best. Hated the whole meal. Will not order again, one reason for food to come in cold is the DONT place it in the heat bags they sit on the passengers seat in the carrier bag.

Do not order from here food turns up wrong and cold and they are rude on the phone and can't even speak English if your going to work in this country at least learn to speak English or don't answer phones worse take away in Hampshire.

Food was wrong (2 people vegetarian and they sent meat), then when we called to tell them they don’t answer the phone. Will not be using this place again.

No ordered extra nan, and no shish kebab in the tandoori mixed grill. Also 1hr late. And cold.
