Ashby De La Spice

Great to see a proper traditional Indian/Punjabi takeaway in the Ashby area. Food was great. Will be using this place all the time now as their is not a another traditional Punjabi takeaway in the area. Highly recommend the mix grill.

Very disappointed with my meal. The rice was over cooked and the chicken jalfrezi was more like a balti. I have in fact cooked better myself. First time i have used them and will be the last i am afraid.

Had the RaRa Gosht & Chicken Karahi Bhuna, loads of flavour and the Lamb in the Gosht was nice and tender. My wife really enjoyed the chicken and commented on the layers of flavour.... will highly recommend to my friends and family.

The only good thing about my takeaway this evening was the delivery chap , very friendly polite and on time.
The food was terrible, the rice was over cooked and tasteless, the meat - lamb and chicken was very poor quality and the sauce was watery and a serious lack of flavour.
I have never had lamb pasanda taste of mango before, and the chicken chat type food was just disgusting it looked like slop and had a strange smell .
The nan was a cross between cake and under cooked dough.
A waste of £30 ,this was the first time I’ve used this takeaway and will definitely be my last.

Absolutely stunning - I could go on and on about this restaurant. But in short - we've had two deliveries from Spice over the last week and loved both. The food really was to die for - the staff are incredibly polite and helpful (a rare commodity these days) and the delivery driver was utterly charming. You won't go wrong with Ashby De La Spice. The Matchmakers were wonderful too.............worth every penny.

I ordered a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi. It was wholly underwhelming. Contrary to other reviews we found the meat dry and completely under-seasoned - clearly frozen from earlier in the week and re-heated. The sauce was thin and oily. Overall the mains were really poor, one of the worst curry’s I’ve ever tasted.

Naan bread was okay, but that’s about it.

Would not recommend and will not return.

Ordered a sheek kebab starter, chicken balti and keema naan between the two of us it was plenty of food but it was awful the kebab was tasteless, the balti didn’t taste like a balti it was so bad we left it and we will never order from here again

Just wanted to say what an amazing meal we had last week. The whole tandori chicken was one of the best we have ever had. We rang early and they marinated it and cooked it perfectly. We give them 10/10. Will be definitely going back for another one
