Normally good food but what a Shambles !

17:55 hrs - Ordered food online. I normally order through Just Eat but the last few times we had a delivery the driver suggested we order directly

17:58 hrs - received a confirmation email stating delivery time of 18:47 hrs

19:16 hrs - No food or call so I contacted the restaurant and was told 'we told you it would be 1hr 10mins'.... I explained the confirmation email stated a different delivery time and the said it was on its way and would be 10minutes

20:00hrs - Still no food so I called the restaurant and a manager spoke to me and explained it was a technical problem and the hadn't received the order in time (which contradicts the other updates I'd received as the last contact was a delivery at 19:26 hrs)

The manager went on to say if it was more than 4 minutes more her would re/cook the order and re-send it! Not sure of his intentions but what a joke!

20:12hrs : driver called to say he was lost. Told him to forget it (we had started cooking ourselves)

Ordered from just eat as my usual curry house wasn't open, after waiting 30-40 mins (Not an issue) expecting something half decent, i recieved one of the most tasteless masalas and kormas I have ever had. The chicken was cooked in some fashion which rendered it into a liquid almost. The only redeeming factor to this meal was that the portions were slot smaller than expected for the price. Will not be ordering from here again.

Very late but decent food when it eventually arrived. We ordered at about 6:30, our order was supposed to arrive at 8:35. I called at 8:45 when it hadn't arrived and they told me that when the driver was back it would be about 10/15 minutes. They then phoned me back at about 9:45 to say the food would be ten minutes. Our order eventually arrived at about 10 (an hour and 25 minutes late) The food was decent quality, I've ordered from them before and feel it's been better in the past. The staff were apologetic on the phone and the guy who delivered was also very apologetic. It wasn't an ideal experience for us and we were quite disappointed so if we were going to order from them again we'd make sure to order as early as possible and perhaps opt to pick it up rather than have it delivered.

Dreadful meal. we ordered 3 starters - chicken chat, prawn puri ( which was the same sauce as the chat ) and onion all to share with a lamb dhansak and mushroom rice.
It was not worthy of being called food - also it wasn’t ready or even started when we got there to pick it up at the time they wanted us to collect it!
Really awful - will never go again!

Amazing Indian food, great veggie stuff as well. They are so sweet, they sent packed lunches for all the NHS staff on emergency duty today. Really warm and kind gesture. Big thank you!

Delicious - best take away had in ages! Arrived in the time frame given over the phone, if anything a little earlier. So not complaints at all.

Very disappointing. We chose Momtaj having read previous reviews and received a recommendation from a local, but the dishes were either too sweet, too salty or both. Given that Indian takeways are also full of fat this was probably the most unhealthy meal we've eaten in years. The only ingredient not in excess was spices - generally very bland. And £31 for a sensible-sized meal for 2 meant it left an even worse taste in the mouth.

Ordered my meal at 630 pm waiting time posted on their website was 1 hr 25
Phoned them at ten to nine girl said we assumed you had cancelled because you you hung up after complaining
Totally unreliable takeaway I will never use again
