India Food 2 Go Kirkby

We have ordered from here several times and generally the food is excellent and delivered on time. Placed an order today with expected delivery time of 21.15 on Just Eat. Please take into account that a restaurant has to accept an order and has the freedom to update ETAs. Called the restaurant at 10pm for an update. First they had trouble identifying our order and then told us the food was with the driver and would arrive soon. 22.52 and the food has still not arrived so we have had to cancel via the app because the phone was constantly engaged until they closed. I understand that they have had a difficult night but it's not fair to lie to customers. Needless to say we will not be ordering from you again.

To add to this we were in contact with Just Eat and the restaurant refused to refund us for food that we never received.

Order pre 7pm wanting food for 10.30pm. 3 and half hours for them to prepare food and get it to us. They changed delivery to 11pm which is fine it was new years eve. However at midnight it was clear that our food wasn't going to arrive, my partner is a care worker and helps the vulnerable throughout this pandemic, and these clowns can't even let us know our food won't arrive. Our old regular Indian restaurant has turned into a joke because they are greedy and accept too many orders. Managers must be absolute clowns. Won't order from here again after years of ordering.

Should have let us know you had so so long to either tell us or get us our food. Also, I paid £35 for 2 people, not the cheapest out there. Just go elsewhere or expect cold, late or no food.

I am a keen curry enthusiast and I must say these guys really do it well. Fantastic flavours, always arrives piping hot which is great considering we are a 20 minute drive away! The meat is always cooked very well, the lamb is always very succulent when I have ordered it. Gone for a traditional Balti this evening - Can’t wait! 😃

Ordered from here for months, food is fantastic - WHEN they get it right. Items always missing, wrong dishes, delivered, NEVER on time. Usually cold. Staff are kind, food is nice but it's a lucky dip off their menu and you'd have better luck using a crystal ball to predict the delivery time.

A tale of a long lost curry!

Absolutely atrocious! Order at 7:30pm, should have arrived at 9:25pm but nothing! Phoned them at 10pm to find out where order was, I got told it’s on its way madam! Do you want me resend it from the restaurant??? Why would you need to do that if it’s on it’s way?? After calling the restaurant 8 times, we were told our food had gone on a 15 mile trip in the other direction but it’s now on its way to you! Should be in next 15 mins! Well as you can guess it didn’t arrive! Phoned again at 11:15pm, asked where delivery was, and this time was told the driver had tried to deliver, had been banging on our doors and windows but we had gone out! Absolute jokers, lies, lies lies!!!

Love the food.

The issue is actually getting it. Regularly 2 to 3 hours to receive but Tonight was the last time.

Ordered at 1810.
Queried where order was at 2052. Told food would be 20 minutes.
Queried at 2130. Was told would be 25 minutes. That would make it nearly 4 hours.

Don't believe they had any intention of delivering. Whilst I appreciate we live a distance from there they state they deliver to this postcode. If they can't do it they shouldn't accept the orders.

Stupid thing is their order tracker states it was delivered after just over an hour.

Such a shame as will no longer use them despite the good food.

Unfortunately had very poor service tonight after trying this place on a recommendation from a regular customer. Booked a pre order for 7:30 when husband would be home from work and kids would be in bed, 6:44 and the doorbell rang. Food had to be left going cold for the best part of an hour. Checked order status at this point and still said food was being prepared and would be approx 55 minutes. Rang to complain later on and was told I hadn’t pre ordered and maybe I hadn’t refreshed the order status. Well I had, twice. Also told next time I pre order I should ring to make sure I’ve pre ordered!! Next time?! I don’t think so. What a shame. £30 down the drain and the customer is told they’re in the wrong. Shame I hadn’t seen the food hygiene rating either before I ordered.

Used to rave about this place, ordered Atleast once every other week, but not anymore!

Ordered a couple of weeks ago, food was nearly 3 hours late, takeaway did not answer the phone, finally arrived and was told some excuse that the individual who answers the phone had to go in the back and help cook, I call Bu****it....anyway that happened and I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again, food was on time, however when eating my curry crunched down on not one, but two pieces of my guess is copper metal perhaps from the pan in which they are cooking in...absolutely shocking, these guys need a visit from the inspectors I imagine, after this you’ve lost a customer as I will never be returning.
