Handi Indian Takeaway

I tried the Monday £14.95 deal and I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, my favourite Indian takeaway I've tried since I moved here and fantastic value for money. The portions were generous, chicken korma was thick and creamy, the meat seemed to be good quality, the lamb had no fat in the lamb dhansak. I'll definitely be ordering from here again :D

Disaster! Don't bother - called to check how long for delivery told 3/4 hour to an hour so decided to go for it & have a drink as celebrating 50th birthday.
Hour & 1/2 later called told food ready just waiting for driver ?
2 hours later food turns up cold & order incomplete
Called & complained - another 1/2 & another phone call later & rest of order still not arrived.
Meal ruined - in oven trying to warm it up - would of been quicker to cook
When I asked about refund said I could have free poppadoms!!
I get they are busy but if they had been honest & said delivery would be 2 - 2 1/2 hours in the first place we would of gone & collected it.
Never again!

The worst experience that myself and my family have ever had with any restaurant!
We ordered food , and it came with items missing, 2 rices and 1 mint sauce,
We were told we would have a phone back,
We waited for half an hour and we called back to find out when they would deliver our missing items to be told they were not sorting it out and for us to get in contact with there website provider as we booked online, we asked to speak to the manager to be told that basically the manager doesn’t care and won’t do anything,
We then went down to the restaurant to sort this out to be treated with disrespect and attitude!
we demanded our food be re cooked and given fresh as we have been waiting 1hour now since we got the first lot of our food,
Nothing complimentary
No apologies
Absolute shocking service the way they have treated there customers and will never use them again and will advise our friends and family not to either after our experience

This curry house came recommended. So this eve I ordered and paid via their online service. ( as we are in a lockdown and I could not visit the caerphilly area) Was impressed as it came right on time. On checking our meal order both the rice dishes were missing. A quick call should have sorted it. How wrong was I. The front of house person said he would need to check with the driver first of all and then check with the person packing the order to find out what had gone wrong? I knew I had ordered rice as I had an itemised email confirming my order.He took my contact details and said he would call back. 25 mins later still no call. so I called them only to be told that i hadn't ordered any rice ....even although they had taken the full payment which included the rice dishes.. They proceeded to say that they were experiencing problems with their online service and that I should take the query up with their online provider?you honestly couldn't make this up. One hour has now gone by with no apology or any chance of getting 2 rice dishes delivered. So off I go into risca with the part delivered order. The "manager" all of a sudden appears and tells me he was now in receipt of my whole order and would go and make me 2 rice dishes! But by now my chips and curries were cold. So I asked for a whole fresh order which he did. Not even an apology never mind a complimentary popadom. It's a shame I had to experience this awful customer service as the food was nice and tasty. But I will never step in your curry house again. If your online service provider is not up to scratch take it off.

It is a very good place for traditional Indian food. The price of items is reasonable. Delicious all the Currys. Orders deliver in due time. Even quicker for collection. Car parking is always available nearby. I love this place.

had onion bhaji starter which was stunning chicken curry was was full of chicken but very bas chips was rock hard as way under cooked

Best take away we have had in years. Well impressed. Will definitely be ordering again, thank you.

Tried the traditional curry tonight. Very dark. hot and full of flavour. Old school curry very nice.
