Ajantha Indian

Ordered at 9.40pm. It stated that it woukd arrive in 55 mins. I had forgot to order onion bhaji's so telephoned they stated they would add it to the order. However an hour and a half went by which I could understand as its Saturday night.
Two hrs went by and I telephoned. They stated the driver that all their deliveries had been all complete. I said ours had still not arrived. When they checked they said that someone a few doors down had theirs and our order didn't print a receipt. I was livid! The whole process was a joke. And then apologised and said would I like a ice cream, which I declined and wanted a refund on some of the order. They offered me 10.00 deposit which I accepted and said they will cook our meal that was supposed to be cooked over 2 hrs ago and it will be delivered straightaway.

I waited half and hour rang back, by this point the whole process had taken 2 and a half hours and it was 11.30 in the night. It arrived after I rang again!!!

Just to finish this whole terrible organisation and service, they also failed to put the onion bhaji in the order. The food was very bland and I never leave views but I had to on this takeaway. Very poor and I will never order from here again or recommend this Indian takeaway to anyone!!!

The absolute best quality Indian food in the area without doubt! Tried various dishes all taste fresh and fantastic, service is great and delivery times excellent. Highly recommend!!

Sad to say it, we were really looking forward to our food but it was really quite disappointing. Its the first time we've ordered from here, but I don't think we will be back. The food was cold, the chips were dried up, the curry was so runny it was like soup. Not for me sadly :(

I love this place, delivery can be slow but food is the best around here.. If you don't have the pakora is a side - you're doing wrong 😂

Absolutely delicious! Service and delivery time accurate, friendly staff, superb menu! Affordable, Authentic and piping hot. Best Indian by far, highly recommend. Just divine!

It is with sadness and hope that I write this review of our take away meal of last evening. Sad, that I feel the need to comment on a poor meal as I have never had a bad one from Ajantha over decades eating frim there ever since it opened. Yet hopeful that constructive observations may be considered helpful for customer satisfaction. Starters were quite good, despite both shingara and puri looking nothing like photos of what they typically are meant to be. For the main courses we decided to try out new dishes not had before. The meal was bland and flavourless. Tandoori king prawns were tasteless and appeared to constitute chopped prawns rather than whole, large prawns. The beef in the kashmiri was too tough to chew, so we ended up picking it out. Good job we had ordered vegetables and mushrooms as extras in the dish else we would have been left with only the sauce. It was also delivered late. When ordering at 4:45pm it was said to take 50mins. When order confirmed that became 1 hour 45 mins. And still it was delivered late. Only when chasing it up via the chat facility did the order status suddenly change to 'on its way'. It won't stop us ordering from there again, as hopefully this was just a bad night in the kitchen or a case if ordering the wrong dishes. We will, however, be trying out alternative Indian take-aways, which have never felt the need to do before.

I've tried the korma, the pathia, the dhansak, the tikka, the chicken fried rice, the keema naan and my god, everything is just superb! Full of flavour, fresh ingredients, generous portions and the mint sauce is to die for!

Previously had nice food from here but this time we were disappointed, food was cold when arrived, poppadoms missing. Find food from here can either be lovely or disappointing so won't be ordering from here again.
