Spicy Aroma

Had a takeaway from here for the first time 2 weeks ago and was really looking forward to it as have been trying to find a nice local Indian.
Well what can I say I wasn't impressed. When we rung up and ordered we asked how long it would be before the food would be ready for us to pick it up we were told it would be ready in an hour when we got they it was not ready as it was still being cooked and had to sit and wait.
When getting it home nan breads were burnt and that's all you could taste burnt nan!!! And my food was bland and watery. Would never eat from here again.

ordeded meals on line simple. Delivered on time piping hot, 5 miles out in country at low cost. All parts of meals were well cooked

Rude staff members!!!
Missed a call from a Stanhope, England telephone number. Checked online to see who it was and it was Uber Eats. I rang restaurant to explain I’d missed call and thought it may have been a cold call and the man said…Well, you should have answered the phone then. Next time answer the phone! He then said the address said room 6 and but I didn’t know that address. He then said Uber Eats system messes up some times, then continued to tell me I should have answered the phone. He was very rude to the point of shouting at me! I saidI wanted a refund and wanted to make a complaint.
Another man came on the phone and shouted rudely down the phone saying the same things then hung up. I have been ordering my food from Spicy Aroma for so many years. NEVER EVR AGAIIN! Food. Has arrived but due to the terrible staff I didn’t want to give any stars! Appetite ruined!

First time using this take away. Food was hot and tasty. Mushroom rice was amazing. 👍

Only recently started going here again, as stopped during lockdown. The staff are extremely friendly and have even delivered to my car outside, when I didn’t notice them waiting. They’ve even checked their competitors are open next door (because my youngest fussy and only wanted a jumbo sausage 🙈), which was extremely helpful! But, the food.. my favourite is the lamb dhansaak and it’s outstanding!!! Truthfully, Indian curry’s are my favourite and I’m extremely fussy, the food and staff having me coming back regularly! Also, costs are reasonable and competitive for the area.

Never had a bad meal, recommended to two others and also now their favourite Indian.

The food here is consistent, tasty, portions are generous and I really can't fault it - especially for the price. I've paid more for far less enjoyable food elsewhere. Staff are friendly and polite too, I gladly recommend them if you fancy a cheeky takeaway.

Biriyani was nice, veg samosas were nice, the rest of the dishes too sweet & too much colouring! Was alright, not the best, could be much better
