Visited for Sunday lunch. Wonderful location and well spaced dining areas inside and outside. We both enjoyed our meals. The turkey portion was delicious and generous. Excellent choice of desserts and drinks. Would love to go back for more. Very attentive and friendly staff what more could you want.

Had a family meal here 10 days ago. The service and food were excellent. Portion sizes were very generous. The chocolate brownie was one of the best I've tasted. Prices are more expensive than other places but are well worth the extra.

Really lovely meal here last night. We had the venison suet pudding (which also had a side of mustard mash😍 not photographed!) and the roasted chicken breast. We also had the sourdough bread sharer for starters and the butter was AMAZING! Staff were lovely too and it was really cosy! Will definitely be back 🥰

Charming pub with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Set in a beautiful village in Hertfordshire, miles from the sea, yet I was served the best fish and chips I have ever tasted!

Was here for Christmas dinner today and everything was absolutely spot on from the welcoming and attentive staff to the amazing food and great portions. The best vegan Christmas dinner we've ever had. Those of us who had the traditional Christmas dinner also loved it. Organised takeaway for those who could not make it through illness and nothing was too much trouble. Very highly recommended!!!

Incredible food, amazing bread and fresh flavoured butter to start with, followed off by a great sea bass dish. Strongly recommend the Espresso creme brulee

Atmosphere , staff. Food. Absolutely excellent . Had the best family Christmas Eve tonight . Just so sad it was fully booked early in the year , or would definately been going for Christmas Day . Thank you 🥂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very expensive, tough beef couldn't cut though 2 pieces of 3, ( this was 2 peoples meals) and not enough vegetables, not impressed really. They took off the price of the cauliflower cheese and 1 pudding, there was 4 of us.
