We stayed at the Mendip Inn as we were attending a wedding locally. The owners were very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and nicely presented. Lovely shower and huge fluffy towels.
Plus super cup of tea in the morning. Definitely recommend.

Just dropped in for food. Staff and surroundings very pleasant. Food was hot...tasty ...and delivered quickly. Not extensive menu but good pub grub at decent prices

The staff were a little slow to show us to a table upon our arrival but once seated the service was excellent. The Sunday roast is highly recommended with a very generous helping of meat. The brisket was delicious.

We stayed at the Mendip Inn for a night while visiting Longleat Safari. The staff, food and facilities were outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hands down best garlic bread I've ever had, not to mention a mouth watering roast dinner. Each room has a quirky theme and ours was called "the stable", neatly kitted out with horse themed decor. 100% would stay again. Thank you

Sadly I will give two stars. The food was ok although the prawn cocktail was served on warm plates and the £24.95 steak was half gristle. Our main issue though was the poor customer service. The staff are disinterested and miserable to the point our drinks were almost thrown onto the table. There were no welcoming faces which to start with made us uncomfortable. I was still eating my starter when our main courses appeared to which when we complained we were referred to the manager. We were not charged for our starters ok this was acceptable but the point here is it spoilt our evening. The pork was delicious as were several of the other meals but would we return? No sorry. If this is based on Jamie Oliver's Fifteen then a lesson in customer service would not go amiss.

This is a great stop off on the journey from South Somerset up to Bristol Airport. Good food and a friendly welcome await. The beer is well kept and there's good coffee too. We'll worth stopping off.

We went for a family reunion meal. For a restaurant that cooked the food and didn't use frozen, pre packed, the speed of service was good, and the staff were attentative and polite. Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the quality of the food. It ranged from very good ( burgers) to very poor (steak, tough, and gristle) to excellent desserts.
