Lovely apartment in a great location on the harbour front.
Everything was spotless and well organised.
We had great time with our daughter and her friend both aged 12 (we even got them on the putting and bowling greens on an overcast day).
The beach is only a short walk away and there are pubs and restaurants nearby.
Don’t forget to visit the butcher around the corner and see the pic of him with The Hairy Bikers (and buy some sausages🙂)
All in all a great place to stay.

We've just come back from and incredible eleven nights staying in this gorgeous accommodation in beautiful Aberdovey. Starting with the accommodation; Elizabeth and Mike's love for their property shows with lovely touches all around making it feel like a home from home... too many holiday lets are minimalist, but Crabber's Rest is fully equipped from dishwasher and washing machine down to beach chairs and all the other paraphernalia you'll need for the perfect break. They left a generous welcome pack, and it is so helpful to have the basics like dishwasher tablets and hand wash provided. As for the place; Aberdovey is pretty much as good as it gets in the UK for a seaside break - it's essentially a large village with no tacky seaside amusements so it's relatively quiet, and the huge sandy beach which stretches for miles around the Dyfi estuary up towards Tywyn is dog-friendly year round save for the first hundred yards or so. The village store downstairs has the basics and there's an excellent butcher, but with three pubs serving good food, an excellent chippy, and a couple of restaurants you can get away without needing to visit a big supermarket. We don't drive so depended on public transport to explore - unfortunately the railway had just closed for two months engineering works so we used the buses instead, but still managed day trips to Barmouth (like a larger version of Aberdovey), Aberystwyth and the Vale of Rheidol Railway, and Tywyn and the the Talyllyn Railway. We can't wait to return next year and use the train to explore further north up the coast - we'll certainly be back knowing that we have found the perfect accommodation in the perfect holiday destination. Thank you Elizabeth and Mike!
