CIA Landlord Insurance

Don’t waste your money on this policy. After a tenant failed to pay rent and destroyed my house I put in a claim. I had to jump through hoops to provide a detailed claim form and proof. It literally took months to compile. I sent everything they wanted and then I heard nothing. I chased and they said the case was closed as I hadn’t returned the terms and conditions. Completely untrue. I never received terms and conditions. Also the agent said he received all my paperwork. Once you make a claim they reply to say only 50% of claims are successful. Do yourself a favour and try a more reputable company. These are cowboys

I was 2 days late with payment because i was on holiday. Cancelled my policy that i had already made 2 of 4 payments on and then told me i had to take out a completely new policy at £1200.00. Bye bye!

The customer service has always been great and they always have the most competitive rates - I renew my insurance with them every year.

Used to have 11 buy to let properties with CIA and now have none. On every renewal they were much more expensive than others and refused to honour their price match guarantee for the same/better cover. It is blatantly dishonest to offer a price match guarantee if you are not prepared to honour it.

While doing an online application, my phone rang and it was CIA Insurance. The agent enabled me to complete my application efficiently and speedily. I was delighted with the like for like quote offered. The transaction was completed satisfactorily by a very polite, capable young man. This company had been recommended to me.

Unprofessional and came across as a disingenuous sales pitch and refused to give details of policy without a purchase. The guy on the phone had no idea of who a customer is and couldn't care less especially with common courtesy, manners and phone etiquette. I regret trying to find a cheaper quote which they were but if they're putting monkeys on the phone then my business has gone elsewhere (and it did). God help you should you ever need to make a claim. What's happening to this once great country?

I took out landlords insurance based on good
trustpilot reviews. Unfortunately I didn't notice the Google reviews until after the purchase. All the good reviews were for buying the insurance and all the poor reviews for claims. Taking this on board I cancelled the insurance straight away and assumed I would get a full refund since I had got the insurance in advance. They charged me £14. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid
