In my 15 years of a career as a professional interior designer this has been the worst experience of buying PI insurance ever! Bar none. Buying PI insurance is one of the most important policies you buy to protect your business. The only way you can apply is online. The application form is unclear and doesn't provide the most basic explanations, which you would find even buying the cheapest car insurance on meerkat.com. There is no information at this point that you could review as to what you are about to buy, like what exactly you would be covered for, anything. There is absolutely no support and any request for someone to call you and simply explain the basics, in order for you to make an informed decision on options to select on the insurance policy remains unanswered. They may be cheap, but you will pay dearly one day, if things would go wrong on a project and you actually need the cover. I am bewildered why BIID would even sign them up as their preferred insurance broker for their professional members. As unprofessional as it gets. Horrible service and you are insuring yourself at your peril. Stay away and go with more established brokers. There are plenty
