My wife and I are very grateful indeed to Joanne Benbow for arranging travel insurance for our world cruise next year. Previously, we had been experiencing great difficulty owing to a pre-existing medical condition. Joanne keep faith right from the beginning, promising to call us back when we had better news about the condition. Joanne did call; she was so kind, considerate, and highly professional. She was as delighted as we were when she told us that we could be covered. Joanne deserves a medal.

Avanti (although when i booked the insurance the company were insure and Go who I had used many times before) very helpful in booking holiday insurance but when it comes to making a claim they are not good at all. Cannot speak to anyone to help you, everything has to be done via post or email. My claim form was sent via Special Delivery with Royal Mail costing nearly £7 who assure me that the delivery was signed for and that was on the 20th July 2022 but still heard nothing from Avanti. I am disgusted.

Easy to arrange, cover available at different levels and if needed like sports or cruising. I felt it offered value for money. Didn't need to make a claim so I cannot comment on their claims response. I did have peace of mind during my holiday that I was covered for emergencies.

Our baggage was delayed by 3 days while attending a family wedding in the US. We needed to get some replacement clothes, shoes for the occassion. Avanti reviewed the claims and refunded the money - no questions asked. Really good service.

No star at all!!!! I insured my trip for cancellation up to £7000 and when my flight was cancelled I claimed only my money which I spent for accommodation no more! Which was £470. I got no answer from avanti insurance just when I asked for an update after 3 months I sent them my claim. After I provided all necessary proofs the refunded me only £160 from £470 assuming I didnt pay for my trip by myself. Even not an half has been covered. This is not what I expected from my insurance. IT IS RIDICULOUS! Never again with avanti!!!!

I was invited today to write a review and when I clicked the link it didn't work. I wasn't bothered about writing a review but when asked and emailed - it rankled. I bought an annual Covid 5* policy last year for £500. In June 2022 a wedding in Canada was cancelled because the bride and groom got Covid and we had to cancel the airline tickets. Despite being the cheapest and non cancellable tickets the airline offered, the airline choose to give us a credit voucher and therefore Avanti refused to pay out on our insurance. We are now left with a sizeable credit voucher with an airline we would never use. To make matters worse, in order to use the voucher, we must fly and touch down in Canada before any onward travel. Looks like the travel industry has all stitched up.

Got diagnosed with cancer halfway through my policy and was told that not only would they not cover me but my policy was void. Refused to give me a refund for the period of the policy still outstanding as they said it was against their terms & conditions. Absolutely outrageous. I would avoid this company like the plague.

In two days, I was kept on hold for 8 hours waiting to speak to an agent to buy travel insurance. When I finally got through, I was transferred from one person to another person, finally, when everything was half sorted out, the line disconnected, and no one bothered to call me back. I do not have the policy I paid for, and it may take me another 8 hours on hold to speak to someone. This time Avanti, you have been a total waste of space and my time. Shoddy service.
