Caroline at Home

Caroline is a complete wonder. I had thoroughly researched Roman blinds providers near to and far from Haywards Heath. Caroline stood out because her service was personalised. Having had a chat, she patiently put options together, going to and fro to refine and adjust as my thinking evolved e.g. going from a different colour per room to one colour.

A year on from them going up the blinds still look beautiful, the most perfect finish to my build.

If the support in choosing what blind Caroline would make and the beauty of the finished product don't convince you, the after care is unbeaten. When I managed to break the mechanism by being too forceful late one night, I emailed her the next day (normally her day off) and by mid afternoon she had repaired it and it was back up at my window.

Placed order to fit shutters to my kitchen - Caroline at Home did poor and unprofessional work on delivering the whole shutter project.
1) Visited my home for Initial measuring appointment and screwed up the measurement. Initially forgot to manufacture the frame & then later delivered wrong sized frame.
2) First turned up to my house without any prior appointment nor provide update on the shutter delivery or installation date.
3) Then realised they didn't manufacture the frame for the shutter.
4) Left the shutters door materials in my kitchen for several weeks - which caused huge inconvenience for the whole family.
5) Then again turned up with shutter frame, only to realise they manufactured incorrect sized frame and again left all the materials (shutter door & frame) in my kitchen again for few weeks.
6) Initially requested full refund & asked them to take back everything, but Caroline stated the law as its bespoke project need to give another chance.
7) Last chance to get everything fixed, but one of the window top frame was short but turned up again to fix this. Also forgot to install magnetic catch for the shutter door.
8) Promised to complete all the works within 3-4 weeks and all their silly mistakes & delays, the works was completed after 5 months with a minor defect still pending.
9) They fell out with their subcontractor/shutter door installer.
10) After paying initial deposit, visited my home only after 6 weeks for taking measurement while they initially promised to send someone within few days.

Overall Caroline at Home didn't have any control over this project due to poor management of their subcontractors, poor management of works, poor communications with customer and delay in delivering the project. Therefore, any customers placing order please don't pay the full invoice upfront & hold some money back until they complete the work correctly and within the given timeline.
I had initially sent numerous emails & a complaint letter to Caroline to compensate for the mistakes of the project & delays as it caused huge inconviecnce & disruption to our daily life but didn't bother to respond during that time and only bothered to respond back after posting the reviews. So please be beware before placing any orders & make sure you agree everything in writing.
