Starting with the pros;
The customer service was excellent. I had heard great things about this and they lived up to expectations.
The atmosphere was pleasant and very welcoming.
The drink range was great and reasonably priced.
MOST of the food was excellent quality, however, this leads to my one major con.
The steak I ordered. I opted for the 19oz T-Bone as it was the days special at just under £30. All the accompaniments were great, onion rings were crisp as were the fries, the gorgonzola sauce was delicious but the steak.
I asked for Medium Rare as is my preference, and it was medium rare but it was not well cooked. The meat was still quite chewy, definitely not tender and generally underwhelming.
I'll rule it as probably a bad steak or bad timing, and even with that disappointment, I will return there in the future as everything else was Top-notch.
I also discovered a massive change to the menu, very disappointed in the vegetarian options available for the main meal. The only options I had was a pizza or ricotta and spinach pancake (most of which was spinach). I usually get a pasta sauce dish with tagliatelle, or cannelloni, however, any dishes I had a choice of before had all had some form of meat added. Not impressed and I doubt we will be dining out at Carlo’s anytime soon. Very disappointing.
Interior is superb, while you'll wait for your meal you'll feel that italian vibe as you seen from picture I added. Guy which was served me confirmed he is from Italy, where reflects on his accent! Back again for it! Best compliments for chief which made this awesome steak!
Bon apetit!
The restaurant it's self was very atmospheric, resembling an the set of a 60s cowboy movie.
The staff though we're exemplary and the service cannot be faulted would definitely go again
The menu is as basic as Italian food can be so it feels overpriced.
Cold red wine, undercooked starter and an overcooked starter, both the same dish, wasn't a relaxing start to our evening.
I left feeling underwhelmed!
Cannot fault anything; food was very good, service very good, staff were polite and friendly. Didnt have to wait to be seated and no rush to leave when funished.
Vwry pleased, weĺl done Carlos.
