Where shall I start.

Well, we wanted to use the "eat out" scheme to support the local businesses and came across with this Italian restaurant. After the reviews that I seen on eat in / takeaway I was a bit concerned but hey we only live once.

Though it would be a good idea that instead of only me and my book I take my parents out therefore called and booked the table.Arrived, got seated no issues, all looked good started to feel better.. then we got the food....

It looked OK, nothing special.. if you go out just because you seen some pictures then you wrong... food is the main aim..

Spaghetti carbonara, pasta arabiata, pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce (sorry don't know the exact name) and a margarita pizza to share.. what can go wrong??

Carbonara =since when we putting chilli 🌶 in the dish chef?

Arabiata = now I love spice food, I really do.. but are we serious with the scoville level of your dish??

Meatball: now here some real concern.. tomato sauce.. well it was watery, lumps of tomatoes (can) in the bottom of the bowl covered with Spaghetti (nothing to do with home made or special) and couple of dried out balls.. please...

Margarita pizza: now I really want to know if you eating your ice cream with chilli powder / flake...

All in all, the heat level, taste of the dishes not really my cup of tea and for people who actually enjoy italian I do have one suggestion: COOK THESE DISHES AT HOME or find a better restaurant.

Not only the food but the service could do with major improvements but let's talk about their way of service another day.

I tried to help out but won't be trying again to help this establishment. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Revisted this place after 17 years, its gone well down hill.will not be returning.
No cocktails.limited alcoholic drinks.
Needs redecorating.
Female waitress really rude and was made to feel unwelcome.
Food was pretty tasteless.
When i said i didn't want dessert she said thats ur choice shall i get the bill.
I asked for another alcoholic drink n it seemed like she just wanted us to leave.
There was also a wedding going on next door n we couldn't hear each other.
Female needs retraining in customer service.

Wonderful restaurant providing a genuine Italian feel. The seafood pasta is unrivalled, however, stay away from the liver! Wonderful service although it was on a quiet night.
Good experience overall and I will definitely be back!

Had a delicious, authentic meal here this weekend. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the traditional Italian singers added that special touch going round the tables singing songs personalised to each family. Marvellous. Great price. Will definitely return

Stunning restaurant with a lot of history. The hosts were fantastic. Family run business it seems, its a lovely place, plenty of areas to sit. Even has a back garden! The food was out of this world. Real authentic Italian cuisine. So impressed. You cannot go wrong. We had a large party of guests and they were able to accommodate us all. Thank for for a wonderful evening!

It is a very nice traditional Italian restaurant that serves amazing food 😋 we went here for our daughters birthday and had a great meal. luigi himself was very friendly. He accommodated us very well, the food is fairly priced. I would definitely recommend 👌

There as a guest speaker for a Probus lunch meeting. Set menu served efficiently to approx 30 people. Not specifically Italian cuisine served but the vegetable soup, main course of veal and desert of apple crumble was very good and didn't slow me down for the talk afterwards! Nice area for private dining so good for functions.

Food was fresh and delicious. Live music on New Years Eve by the talented duo enriched the atmosphere with festive cheer. We will be going again soon. (The live music is on Sundays and perhaps on special days)
