Bella Italia - Bristol Cabot Circus

Went here as a group of 8. The setup is nice and the food is really good.. The only problem is service. Not sure if they are understaffed or if they are just terrible at it. After placing our drinks order, it just took forever for our drinks to arrive. Felt like an hour! Our waitress was really nice though and she made good recommendations for appetizers. Interestingly enough, she was also serving at times. Never seen that before. If the service is improved, this can be a really nice place!

Food was nice (we went for the breakfast menu) however it was near impossible to get the waitresses attention after making our initial order. One waitress for the entire place, late morning on a Saturday seemed a bit stretched and service lacked a little for it.

Typical Italian chain restaurant, good atmosphere on a Thursday evening. Generally a good meal although, it has to be said that the 'new' swirls garlic bread starter were very small, the waitress thought the same and was happy to deduct them from the bill.
The mains were of generous portions, and my 'marinara spaghetti' had a good helping of seafood.

Had a really nice time here, food was good reasonably priced, staff were lovely. Very nice surroundings. We came when it was quiet, that probably helped.

Food wasn't great - chicken wings were too dry. Carbonara was terrible, the sauce was too thick with not much flavour, and everything had basically congealed together, the bacon bits inside didn't have much flavour and the only redeeming factor was the crispy bacon slice on top.
The pizza tasted ok but was soggy by the time it had got to us. Their garlic and herb sauce was 90% butter and didn't have any flavour.
Service was okay but all in all won't be going to a Bella Italia again.

The waiting staff was lovely!! But we waited a lot and felt that food was left under the heating lamp for a while. Have had lovely experience in Bella Italia in the past so mix feelings. We were able to use taste-card with 4 people which was lovely!
