Cheikho's Restaurant

Delicious food. The lamb was so soft and the sauce unbelievably rich. Salad was very generous too.
Service was very attentive but not overbearing. Very friendly and definitely a nice place to share a quiet meal with friends or family.

Simply fantastic. We had a wonderful experience at this truly unique restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and fantastic food. Highly recommend!

We have been dining at Cheikho's restaurant for many years. It is our firm family favourite Italian restaurant in the area.Sammy, the owner is very welcoming and makes us feel special and like part of the family and we never leave feeling disappointed with our experience here. We would highly recommend a visit but make sure to make a reservation though beforehand to avoid disappointment as very popular.
The menu offers an excellent selection with lots of tasty vegetarian options too and the food is always freshly cooked and delicious.
Situated over two floors of a small converted terraced house it is a family run restaurant with a lovely warm and intimate atmosphere and would be an excellent venue for a romantic night out or any special occassion.Upstairs is more spacious and ideal for larger groups or family gatherings.

Fantastic meal and excellent service. I took my parents for my mum's birthday and we were made to feel very special. The food was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

I have just arrived from this restaurant.
So... nice environment.
I asked for the mushrooms as a starter and they were too salty. I them received another mushroom which was better but still salty. I could not finish it. My partner had the olives with bread and we also found the bread a bit salty.
For mains I order the veggie gnochi which i dont remember saying it had cheese on the ingredients, but mine came with cheese. Although i normally avoid dairy and cheese I did not want to complain again and I ate it and to be fair it was very good. My partner has the calzone and again the bread was salty for our taste.
We order the red house wine, which is Italian and it was good.
I was planning to give 3 stars to this restaurant, but they removed the mushrooms from our bill, which was a decent act and the reason why I am giving a 4 star review.
The waiter was nice and we also gave him a tip.

Would be good if you could reduce the salt in your dishes and also add plant based cheese as an alternative for those who want to a avoid dairy products.

Some of the best pasta I have had in Leicester. The dish was put together with supreme technical skill and the creamy sauce was exquisite.

Be prepared to wait a little while as it may be a one man operation in the kitchen but it is worth it for the effort that goes into making the food meet such a high standard

I live In Oadby and passed seeing so booked it for date night!!! Wasn't disappointed!!!! Nice quirky interior. Host was massively friendly and polite and curtious. Straight down to business.. starter was amazing .. then had main. Never really waited for anything and it all just flowed ..
