As a blind person who has never seen a gemstone, jewellery shopping can be tricky. The customer service here when shopping for my wife’s 30th Birthday was top class. Lucy took the time to explain the appearance of various pieces, and enabled me to understand the differences in the various stones. My wife was very happy with the piece we settled on. She also needed a longer chain which they were able to provide at no additional cost. Highly recommended, I’ll be back in future.

Visited 30/7/22 looking for a ring with my wife. 5* service. The entire team seemed engaged and created a good atmosphere. Terry was particularly helpful. The ‘star’ however was Lucy. She was so attentive, patient and helpful. No pushy sales techniques, just wanted to ensure my wife bought the right ring.?… and she did. Great service Lucy, thank you.

I took an antique 9 carat gold bracelet to the shop to see if they would be interested in buying it. They advised me that they could not resell it, but would be happy to buy it for scrap gold, which they confirmed in writing on the receipt when they offered me £190.00, which I accepted. Only days later I noticed the exact same bracelet was on their website for £1450.00!!! Although I can not prove 100% it was my bracelet, it looked identical and it was a new addition to their stock. I appreciate businesses have to make a profit, but I feel the purchase of my bracelet was made through deception!

Mortimers has a dazzling (literally) selection of quite exceptional pieces, definitely not the usual high street range but hundreds of period rings, earrings, bracelets and more. The real “jewel in the crown” though is the wonderful Andrea who service has been flawless. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at Mortimers and can’t recommend them and the lovely Andrea enough. I’ll be back for sure.

The most amazing antique Jewellers I’m fortunate enough to find an engagement ring small enough! Staff are so attentive, thorough, turned alterations round very quickly have been a pleasure to work with. Will definitely return! Mortimers Jewellers is a wonderful little one-off shop with the biggest and best selection of quality antique and vintage rings.
