Complete joke. They tried to service my grandfathers breitling watch, and after a MONTH they said they couldn't service it. Returned the watch watch which had been reassembled incorrectly/now doesn't work at all. The owner was incredibly rude, taking no responsibility or even offered any solution. Shameful and very upset with a broken family heirloom.
PLUS - I had a nice modern Zenith serviced at same time. I no realise that that there is something wrong with it as it has completely fogged up.
DO NOT ENTER THIS SHOP.

very nice, old school shop with lots of interesting and high quality pieces. Amazingly, for an area like this, prices are contained and simple repairs, such as links out of a watch strap or new battery, are charged at very honest prices. Highly recommended, don't be put off by initial coldness.

I've been to this shop several times and I never regret it, even with hard jobs, they do it quickly and they give a discount on top of it. Very cosy shop and very professional.

I've been with some clients at the same time which were rude but the customer service is great, with lots of patience and explaining all possible solutions for repair or even the actual value of the pieces with no tricks! Just do a little market search and you can confirm it!

Also, after knowing they do the repairs for MAJOR jewelry brands, I take it directly there where I cut the middleman and its cheaper! Will come back as long they are around!

Awful shop. They lost a ring I gave them to engrave. They gave me money for it but the ring was irreplaceable as it had sentimental value. The more upsetting fact was that I had to pester them over many weeks until they finally admitted that they lost it rather than being honest and open about it. This happened many months ago but I wanted to write this review now because I’ve also realised that their goods are exorbitantly expensive. I recently have been trying to sell a gold sardonyx ring I bought from them (which cost me almost £400!) and every expert I’ve taken it to has told me it isn’t even worth half of that! It was my mistake to trust this shop. This is a warning to all.

Great little shop that’s fixed several of my jewelry. They offer competitive prices and always trying to help with small repairs (including watch batteries, that most of the times they did for me on the spot)
I am a returning customer and I was never pressured into buying anything and had clear answers to all my questions.
More family business like that please!

I took my grandfathers gold pocket watch in to repair the front case, he stuck it to the gold face with glue! Scratches all round the left hand side, absolutely ruined and su upsetting as my grandfather kept it in pristine condition! Wanted cash and tried to charge me £30 over previous price and fitted a watch strap incorrectly!! Please don’t take anything in to this shop! He’s absolutely no clue! Stick to Hawkes & Son!!!

Absolutely dreadful. I took in a valuable tortoiseshell frame in good condition with only one of the silver corners which needed repairing. Months later I was told they were too busy so to come and take it back. The tortoiseshell frame was broken, the silver pieces missing - all held together with sticky tape. Worse still was the extremely rude way I was treated. Don’t touch this place with a bargepole.
