There will always be times when things don't go to plan and I think it's a lot more telling about how a business handles these times, than the easy ones when there are no issues.
I'm pleased to say that in my case, they handled it well. They were professional and open to listening and discussing the matter and how to reach a resolution, for which I think they deserve a good review.

Dreadful service from what has always been a reputable jewellers in town . Purchased earrings end of October and they broke before Christmas . Took them in to be mended and a not on the door said back in 5 minutes . I waited nearly 20 minutes and then someone came from the back of the shop with a large very excitable dog . I have the earring to her and she said they should be done free of charge . I said I would hope so
As they were only 2 months old . I didn’t hear anything so my husband went in to see what was happening only to be told that they were waiting for me to accept a quote !!! No contact about that at all !!! I returned to pick up the earrings today and was told I had to pay £7 repair fee ( this was at cost apparently ) I said I wasn’t prepared to pay that and I would have my money back . I was told couldn’t do that as earrings were second hand !!
Nothing in the receipt showed this at all .not at all 😄 with this service and less happy paying £7. I have spent thousands in this shop over the years but they have lost my custom for ever over a measly amount . I have had better service in warren James !!!!

Took 6 weeks to return an item left with them for a quick repair!
They did not answer the phone when I tried to contact them over a period of 2 weeks and 23 phone calls!
I had to call the wine merchant next door to let me know when they were actually open, as when I tried to physically go and ask what was happening they had their shutters down and were closed, despite saying they were open on line!
I would never recommend this Jewellers and will not return.

For any jewellery requirements, please go elsewhere. Gave them an item for repair and it took over 6 weeks to get it returned, plus the repair was of poor quality. Disinterested staff who cannot communicate or chase. We were just glad to get the ring back. 0 stars would be more appropriate.

Absolutely appalling service! After constant chasing to get the two rings my mum brought from them 5 weeks ago which had to be resized, they eventually appeared once we told them we wanted a refund! Was told that as mum had to have them resized she couldn’t have a refund, which, that’s fine, as she would now have the rings she brought and paid for at the time! We went to pick them up for her only to be told that there was an additional charge of £50 for having them resized! Absolutely disgusting! There was no mention of this at the time she brought them, nothing on the receipt to say that there would be this fee. They said that they gave my mum a discount on the rings which meant they had to charge the £50 fee and that we couldn’t take the rings unless it was paid!

Will NEVER buy anything from this shop ever again and would advise anyone thinking of doing so….go somewhere else!

I dropped my wedding ring and engagement ring off on Saturday 15th May 2021 to be resized before our wedding in July. I was told 2 weeks for resizing - I called two and a half weeks later as I hadn’t heard anything to be told that the rings aren’t being resized due to it be a lot of work and hassle.

I had no phone call being advised of this and only found out due to me ringing and chasing. I asked when I could collect my rings to be informed that they weren’t actually back at the shop yet and I’d have to wait for them to be returned. Already on a tight deadline and wasted 2 1/2 weeks for a job that couldn’t be done.

I have no issue that the job couldn’t be done but no contact from the shop was poor.

To top of my experience my dad has been and collected the rings and charged £5 for postage that I wasn’t informed about when dropping them off.
The rings were withheld until he paid the £5!

Very disappointed with the service and the customer care.

I would not recommend this company to anyone, planning a wedding is stressful enough never mind in a pandemic and already postponing once!

Thank you to M & M Jewellers for giving me a solution to the problem with resizing my rings.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Avoid at all costs!!!! A complete rip off, they massively over price their items. Others professionals were appalled at the price I payed for an item from them. Went there trusting their expertise and was more or less coned. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff, the owner is never there (even when arranged to be). Trading standards should be looking into this place

As others have said "0 stars" would be more like it.
Took my gold chain to sell, just at the market value. They offered me £250 which I thought was a little low. Took the chain around the corner ( 1 minute walk) and was offered £520 as per value of gold.
Honestly they are a complete rip off, do yourself a favour and go anywhere else.
